One of my four STI mags consistently fails to feed in the manner as seen in the photo. This magazine does so about every 4 rounds. The magazine has stock STI internals, as do all of my other magazines which function fine. I have the Dawson Precision mag adjustment kit and have "tuned" this magazine as per the instructions on the video. The critical dimensions of this magazine are within the acceptable specs. I measure about 1.352 at the back of the lips to 1.360 at the front. My three other magazines which all feed fine have varying dimensions, some a little bigger, some a little smaller, so I can't figure out why this one magazine is having issues and none of the others. All other surfaces look normal when compared to the other magazines. Any suggestions?

Ended up being the Shok buff. There were two on there, one plastic and one aluminum. I was able to remove one and that gave enough movement for it to function properly.

Bought it used, but just barely. The guy I bought it from said he only put 500 rounds through it and I have put another 200 so far. I will check the shock buff thing because I am running one.

I recently bought an STI double stack Tactical 5.0 in 9mm and when the slide lock is engaged, it will not disengage using the "sling shot" method. Even with no magazine inserted. The only way to get the slide back into battery is to thumb the slide lock lever down. Is this normal for an STI, or is there something wrong?

I recently purchased the Bladetech Pro series competition mag pouches for 2011 mags and am not happy with how they hold the magazines. Two of the three don't seem to be able to get tight enough to hold the mag sufficiently. Upon close inspection, the one that does hold the mag well seems to be cut a little higher then the other two. The question is, is that one different and just happens to work or are the other two defective? You can see from the below image that the mag holder on the left is long enough to cover the magazine catch hole where as the one on the right (one that I am having retention issues with) is shorter. Either way, should I look at another brand of mag holder for good retention for 3-gun? Edited to add image
