well just to update. I bought a set of the metal ones. they won't work. the mags lock in but won't feed. The taper also prevents the slide lock from even coming close to engaging.

I haven't seen any of the small frame 22lr mags at all. but I see the cz75b kadet mags are still around and about the same price. I know that I have some cz75b mecgar 9mm mags that work in both my witness and p9. so I think the 22lr mags should work, unless there is something funny about the feed angle since the cz conversion is a fixed barrel. has anyone tried this?

I didn't realize the ms version was ria, and someone on another board pointed it out. so there was a lot of discussion about interchange of parts a few years back I guess when they came out. Barrels were specifically called out as interchangeable. Thought I would update.

Do ms barrels fit the older guns? My gun is factory comped, but I can't hit anything with it. others seem to do ok, but for some reason it just doesn't group well for me or hit my point of aim. I have an old springfield p9 and swapped that slide and barrel onto the witness frame and can dot I's with it again. Just wanted to see if the MS barrel, at less than half the price would work or if it was different like the large frame versions out now.
