  1. I used Springer for the trigger, springs, guide rod, extended mag release, etc... and shooters connection for the belt, holster, pouches.  Can't help ya with the barrel as she uses the one that came in it.  The mags for the Mod 2 are XD mags so any pouch that fits those works.  She uses a Comp-tac international for a holster but like I said hers is the 5 inch so not exactly sure for the service model.

  2. Your gun is fine for the class and you have options after that.  You could just shoot open with what you have to get started or put a regular barrel in and shoot limited or L10.  They will have some examples of different guns from different classes to show you in the class in the 12th.  If you do decide that you want something different there's always guys out there who have something for sale. I know for sure that there are a couple of guys with some great production set ups for sale right now.  The most important things at the beginning, by far are to be safe and have fun!

  3. Welcome Erik.  I'll second taking the intro class at the WAC, lot's of great info there. I shoot at the WAC a lot, just about every Tuesday and Friday night and the weekend matches when they have them, great group of people.  I would also suggest not buying anything, new gun, holster, mag pouches, belt, etc... right now.  Chances are what you think is great gear or a great price really isn't.  I know that's how it was for me.  Start by taking the class and using what you have.  People that have been doing it for a while will help you out with what gear is decent and the best places to get it.

  4. Best bet is to try some out.  Most of the shooting community are good people will gladly let you try their gun.  That's how I decided on a CZ myself.  I was just talking to a guy at my local club about CZ's and he offered to let me run his Accu Shadow that night.  After I shot the second stage I looked at my girlfriend and told her this was going to be an expensive night.  I had one of my own in less than 2 weeks and love it.

  5. I'm shooting a CZ Accu Shadow and no I haven't started reloading yet.  I do get great ammo for USPSA from Two Brothers Armory though.  They're local and it's great stuff!

There are a lot of places to shoot around here but I haven't ventured out from my "home" club yet.  I will in the near future though.

  6. Just started shooting USPSA in May and have recently found this forum.  There seems to be a lot of people here who are willing to give advice, suggestions, and information out here and I definitely have a lot to learn.

  7. I decided to try some base pads from springer precision for my CZ mags.  I have the original 18 rounders and I ordered the base pads for them.  When they arrived I tried to put them on and they are extremely tight.  I can get them on but it takes some serious effort and there is a little gap at the back of the mag like the pad isn't going on all the way but the tab clicks into place.  To get them off is very hard.  I had to use pliers, the edge of the table, and a lot of force to do it.

Is this normal or should I contact them tomorrow?

I really don't want to have to go through what I did today to get one off and back on every time I drop one in a puddle at a match and need to clean my mag.
