Only thing that would be a plus is the spring not getting bound up occasionally.

What advantages would they have over regular mags with extended base pads? Just wondering if I'm missing something.

Just switched to a Tanfoglio Limited Elite from an M&P about a month ago. After running polymer for almost 2 years in USPSA Limited Minor, Running a .40 with a hammer was new and scary. With the wealth of knowledge on this site, ive been able to detail strip, clean, lube, upgrade, tune and troubleshoot without sending up the white flag and asking for help. Thank You again.... Got into USPSA about a year ago with an M&P and made B class in Limited shooting Minor. I just recently upgraded to a Tangfolio Limited 40 to play in Major. Seems like this is the place for Tanfo info and I've been lurking while waiting for parts trying to get as much info as I can before I tear into this beast.
