Recently I started USPSA and shot my second match yesterday. I had jitters for sure and it absolutely had an impact on my performance, I totally missed a paper target. I feel that it is part of the fun though, how many times do people get that feeling sitting on a couch? If it stops, I'd quit too.

Hi, I have heard conflicting statements about the starting set up for a CZ 75 SP-01 or similar type of hand gun for USPSA. Does this have to start hammer down for a double action pull for the first shot, or can it start hammer back in the holster, single action for the first shot? I have been unable to find anything in the rule book. If it is to start hammer down, since on certain guns, there is no de-cocker, this requires a manual dropping of the hammer with a round chambered. This could result in an accidental discharge and injury. Obviously striker type guns do not have this issue. Thanks.

Hi everyone. I am a long time shooter, but just recently have got into USPSA and steel challenge and really enjoy it. I have shot about 4 matches but have been going through the process up upgrading my gear. I also have causally been a re loader but never loaded for my matches.
