Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Here is my loading port. This is my first attempt and safe attempt. I am really happy with the work and look, but I'd like to... - remove more from the pin side after the slit and pin. I'd like to slope it down toward the follower some. - I'd like to do the same thing on the other side, but with a more linear approach to the follower. - Lastly, I'd like to remove more from the receiver and mag tube, as I didn't remove any from there as you know. Hope to see other posts of your ports.
  2. Yeh, you're right. Sorry guys. I'll move this conversation elsewhere.
  3. Tac ops or open. I've only competed in a few three gun competitions so far and I went open. I heard the JM can have feed issues past 12 total rounds in the tube? But mine is a new one. The tube would obviously be extended past the barrel on either set up. I wonder what the swing/comfort/speed/safety of that extra extension would be like too?
  4. I have the 24" 9+1 JM Pro. 5 in the tube with a +4 Nordic Extension. I could buy a plus 3 or 5 from Nordic, but its cheaper to buy a one piece extension onto the oem tube. I was kicking around replacing it with a Nordic +7 or +9. What are your thoughts?

  6. Great info, thanks guys. It you guys could post pics of your ports, that would be great!
  7. That's what I was thinking, but I haven't found any definitive answers on that one from anyone who has done it. There are some videos on YouTube that makes it certainly look like material was removed from the receiver and mag tube. Thank you for your help.
  8. What are your personal reviews based on experience and I guess what you have heard from others on or3gun's... Marine Spacer Tube Competition Forearm Retainer Competition Spring Plunger Adjustable Spring Retainer (all competition versions) I have a new JM Pro. It's been great, no issues. But I'd like to make her be able to shoot light loads for speed and reduced recoil.
  9. I have two... the OEM follower which has been revised by Mossberg and the GG&G follower which is currently in my gun right now.
  10. Intense Image, Thanks for your reply, but this is the question I'm referring to... How much of the receiver's follower lip can we safely remove from our JM Pro's? For example: 11-1 o'clock position or 10-2 o'clock position or none! I'd like to remove some to expose more of the follower, which in turn would expose the shell, which would make double and quad loads easier. I've seen some Benelli's and Remington's with a ton removed, but I've heard you remove too much and you've just ruined your shotgun!
  11. Someone please answer my questions if you have the resolution, thanks!
  12. Nice mod and port on your JM. I was going to go the same, but take it down evenly on both sides past the retaining pin slot. What are your thoughts? I see you removed a linear amount of material from the one side. I'd guess to say you load strong side. How much of your follower lip did you remove. Could you post a pic of that? Nice signature by the way. I bet it was amazing to see him shoot.
  13. How much of the follower lip did you remove?
  14. If you watch Jerry's video in cleaning and maintenance of the jm pro he mentions using a dry lube. I use Hoppe's. Send to work fine?
  15. Same here, two months ago, no personal updates or replies, but certainly doesn't have a problem taking your money. If you check Facebook, he does occasional updates. I will post pics of my loading port soon.
