I will double check the ones that wouldnt chamber. I usually run 1.135 or 1.170 for 9mm. Thanks for the reply

I am running an sti matchmaster and have recently ran into some issues with the slide fully closing. Does not happen alot but once is to many. I have several different springs that i run so i dont think that is issue. It seems to be the case not fully entering. Sometimes so tight that the slide has to be pryed back. I will normally eject the shell and keep running. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Just FYI i emailed adrian with MBX, he emailed me back very quickly, with detailed description and pictures. Also detailed instructions on how to fix the issue. Also offered to fix and tune if i wanted to send back. Great mags and great people to deal with

Sounds good I will check that.

Thanks i will shoot him an email and ask him.

Yes the slide closes without stripping the round.

I have one mbx mag that is pretty new and for some reason will not chamber the last shell. All others chamber fine. Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening?

Thanks dons! I have a aftec extractor and a full length guide rod with a 7 and 9 lb spring on the way. Also i am switching my c more mount as well. Its hitting the bottom. Thanks again
-
Oh gotcha. I see what you are talking about. I have had a buddy stand beside me and it does it the c-more mount alot. Was going to try and tune the extractor and see if that helps
-
Wait, i have a cmore vertical mount on there now. Are you talking about something different.
-
Thanks. I will look into that as well. I think it is hitting the scope mount sometimes.

What type of bullets on the shorter ammo. I had originally tried some at 1.135 which is about factory. I was using a berry hollow point which is really flat. I had terrible feed problems. It was hitting the bottom of the feed ramp. I am running mostly montana gold hollow point or round nose now.

I will check that. In doing some research i had read something about a 10 degree bevel to get the shells to eject out more then up. Thanks

Also i have not tried factory ammo. I have been reloading so long i didnt even know they still made it! HaHa! But will try some and see.

I purchased the gun new. I have probably fired 1k rounds so far. It does it with all the mags. Factory mags and the mbx extreme competition mags as well. I am running the factory recoil master which i am pretty sure has an 8lb spring. I have been reloading for about 20 years.380, 9mm, 40, and 45 mostly for pistol. The 9mm run through the glocks,m&p, and springfield i have with no issues at all feeding or ejecting. Ejecting i have alot of stove piping. With low powder loads i could understand but not with a 170 to 172 pf major load. Its not all the time but way more then i should. Feeding is hitting the feed ramp. I increased OAL to 1.170 to 1.175 to get closer to the feed ramp but still hits and jams some. Any insight would be great.

I am running a 9mm sti match master with mbx extreme mags. I have been using different powders, bullets and loads for major and minor but still have issues with feeding and ejecting. Has anyone had issues with this as well? It doesn't happen all the time, but more then i would like.

Those look great! What kind of turn around time? I know it usually depends on what you are having done but just a guess.

Thanks alot. I will check it out.

I am looking for a gunsmith or custom machine shop to do some work on an STI slide. If anyone knows any i would appreciate any information. Thanks

Also the m&p 40 core is on the list. Same barrel length and same weight.

Does anyone know if the M&P Pro 40 4.25 is on the production list? I didnt see that on an older list but every other model us there which makes no sense?
Slide will not fully close when cycling

Thanks bret. I shot 200 rounds yesterday and probably had 5 that got totally jammed and would go any further. I had about 10 that i had to push on the back of the slide just a little to get fully in. The other 185 ran good.
