  1. Which club matches do you go to? PBRSC is closest to me - been thinking of checking that out at some point. I don't shoot IDPA but we do have a lot of it up here. You're welcome to come shoot up here any time though. Paul Bunyan is a great club, we do a very nice USPSA match if I do say so myself. You have a lot of great clubs down in Oregon though. I'd love if Dundee was closer! Yeah, I'll have to check out Dundee. I hadn't thought about branching out to USPSA, but may have to give it a whirl! However, I'm definitely planning on attending the Washington State IDPA Match at Renton Fish & Game Club in August.

  3. I already have a holster, gun belt, and two mag pouches for IDPA. I'm shooting an IDPA classifier at Tri-County Gun Club next month, so maybe that will enough of a "credential" to get a waiver on the safety class.
  4. I'm confused. Come to Dundee or not?Sarcasm. Well, not about the match directors being awesome and the matches being huge. We had over 100 yesterday. Let me know if you are planning on going to either of those matches, I would love to squad with you. Thanks! I'll do that! Is everyone showing up with race guns?
  5. I think I'd like to try that, but I believe I need Action Range Certification before participating. Should have that by May 14.
  6. Which club matches do you go to? PBRSC is closest to me - been thinking of checking that out at some point. Are you mostly interested in IDPA or USPSA? Albany Rifle and Pistol Club and Dundee both offer top quality USPSA matches, and both would be closer than that to PDX. Not saying don't go north, but you don't necessarily need to go that far. I'm mostly interested in IDPA at this point, and the only club in the PDX area that I'm aware of that does IDPA is Tri-County. It would be nice to get in a match more than once a month. Do those other clubs hold IDPA matches? I don't think so. I don't shoot IDPA though, so I'm sure some of the others local to PDX will chime in with better info. Sounds like a good reason to start shooting some USPSA as well! :-)

  9. Thanks. Are you going to the WA State IDPA Match in August?
  10. Yeah, I just joined Tri-County a couple months ago! Had my first two IDPA matches there. Trying to get Action Range Certified.
  11. Just getting into competitive shooting at the ripe age of 51. Forum recommended by Steve Z.
