Got a new gun its a AR 10 in 6.5 creedmore its a specialized Dynamics billet lower and upper has . 3.5# 2 stage trigger, 20" bead blast stainless barrel Sub MOA Guarantee, with matching muzzle break but ill prob. change it to a silencerco. so be able to put my can on,15" midwest MLOK handguard,Ultralight skeleton minimalist stock which ill prob. end up changing. got it for almost nothing i won it in a raffle for $40 as it sits lol so cant complain there. looking for a good scope I was thinking about a Vortex viper. i have 2 other vortex scopes and like the glass for the money but was going to see what you guys think other good options are. wanting to keep it under $1000 for the scope see some attached pictures of of the gun maybe you can recommend some upgrades i can do to it.

Mine is a stil slide to frame kit i bought already assembled dont have alot of info on the gun its stroked and has a buffer in it, trigger is really nice breaks crisp at 2.5lbs has def. had trigger work STI barrel. i bought 4 dawson tuned mags 20rds reloadable. When it was shipped to me the slide was a little sloppy so i took it to my smith he is doing some blending, re cerakote it and change the springs in the gun barrel looked like it had not been shot much i havent shot it yet ill pic it back up this week. i will run some ammo tests with it i already have aome winchester white box and some Federal ill try first then go from there.

i appreciate all the feedback im gonna do some tests when i get in from work with diffrent ammo, ill order some from the places you guys suggestes

i was just topd that shooting factory ammo in a 2011 is just asking for problems glad to know that is not the case

How many people shoot factory ammo in your 2011? I have a 2011 STI just got it recently, and was told i should reload that shooting factory ammo is just asking for problems. I honestly just dont have the time to reload id rather spend the extra and just buy already loaded ammo. Does anyone recommend some good factory ammo that runs well for competition

yeh im in Africa working right now. I have the gun up at my sponsors shop there awesome at milling and cerakote but there more of plastic gun guys glocks,M&P type guns he is cleaning it up and doing some cocking serrations and cerakote and is going to check the extractor. I contactes Shay Akai abut sending him my gun and him doing his thing on it but he hasnt got back to me. Hats who id like to get it to.

Sorry Guys still pretty new. i updated my profile im in Destin, Fl orginally from South alabama. It would be ideal to just go drop to someone local ive googled gunsmiths around my area around panama city FL, Pensacola FL etc... they don't return emails i guess or not intrested in working on 2011 pistols. I was having a FTE on the last round it would leave the round stovepipe. it could have been the mags i bought the gun used and dont have alot of info on it neither did the guy i bought it from it was his backup gun. Somhas been through a couple people. It could be the extractor or maybe the mags i bought 4 new Dawson tuned mags and gonna try it out and check the extractor. Its a frame to slide kit gun its been stroked trigger is real nice in it breaks crisp at 2.5 lbs. But it full Dust cover, not even cocking serrations on the front so i want to get some milling done maybe DVC type lighting holes on the gun also. i know once that happens it will need to be tuned forsure thats kinda where i am rig now with it.

I have a custom STI i want to send off to get tuned to run. I shoot uspsa and just dont want to take the chance of having issues. I bought the gun used and dont know alot about it.
