  1. Thanks, really appreciate your feed back. Ordered!
  2. I thought about that. Where would I get one? I’m having trouble sourcing Breda parts
  3. Several years old. I used to shoot 3 gun. Ran about 1500 shells with no issues
  4. We shoot 5 stand and only load 2 shells. I’ve tried other shells and faster fps. Still jams but not every time. Sometimes twice out of 50, sometimes 8 out of 50
  5. My issue with y Breda is when I have 2 shells in the gun. The 1st is shot and ejected but the 2nd doesn’t get all the way in and jams the gun. It’s like the lifter is not putting the shell in the center of the barrel. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. yes bolt won't lock back, yes when I put the lmbcg i re adjusted the gas block. not much different than the standard bcg. 16" barrel, i belive mid length gas system, not a light build. someone said find lighter ammo, there all around 3100fps+/- from what I found.
  7. I am running a low mass bcg, from closed on the gas block, 2.5 turns out will lock back the bolt with one shell in the mag, doesn't feel like a 22
  8. do you think that 5% will make that much difference?
  9. Yes I dropped the money on the scs. It is very quiet. I didn't order the the spring pack because I didn't think 5% less spring would make that big of difference. I thought about trimming the spring.
  10. I have an adjustable gas block. and i have a jp captured spring with the 85% spring but I feel that i still have to much recoil. I also have sjs titian brake. is there big differences in adjustable gas blocks?
  11. Ok thanks. what buffer and spring is a good set up?
  12. I am having trouble wrapping my head around reciprocating mass. Today I had a 3 gunner say he uses a extra power spring, lighter buffer and a lmbcg. others say light spring, light buffer, adj gas block. I guess my question is like CharlieD said above less gas? So I want as much gas to go out the front of the rifle? Please explain Thanks
  13. ok wow, so many scopes and options..........so I will get some more. Looking for a 3 gun scope. new shooter not a big budget about $500. I hear talk about the Vortex Strike eagle, PA 1-6x (can't even get), swfa ss 1-4. older shooter so quick field of view is important. Also the type of mount. some guys have just scope rings, off set by 2, off set by 3" and the mfg. american made with the extra money? Just looking to narrow it down
  14. I have been looking on line and cant find this gun in stock for under 750 new. yes tungsten guide rod. he's asking 900
  15. Hey Guys, New to competition shooting. Went to the range and rented a xdm and a m&p. Both in 9mm. Xdm edged out the m&p. Shot my first steel match with a friends xdm .40. He wants to sell it. Has trigger job, heavy buffer tube, over sized mag release. What should I pay for this, said maybe 500-1000 rds through it. Also shot a glock 34, liked that but was a little wide ( front to back) for my stuby hand. Thanks

  17. Thanks for the replies! Sorry for the delay as I am getting used to the forum and how to get back to my posts. First my hands are large not giant but stubby fingers.(gun mfg direction?) Will the gun shops carry competition guns typically? I do not own bullet reloading equipment. Should I think seriously about that? What does power factor mean? Is it reloading with less gun powder? Sorry about the simplicity of the questions
  18. I am not reloading, well I reload shot shells but just started with that. a mec 650jr fell into my lap with a couple hundred rounds of shells, wads and powder. As far as competitive shooting the 3 gun looks fun. I have seen videos thats it. Plan on watching a USPSA match next weekend. I am very competitive and would probably like most but looking for advice on where to start. I don't have my pistol yet. I have an AR that I just built with a 16" ss barrel 1in 10 twist, no optic just iron as I wanted to see what most guys used. The only shot gun I have that is semi is a Remington 1100 1980's-90 vintage. I just bought Ben Stoeger's book. I do have a glock 23 .40 gen 2 vintage I could practice with. I am ready to purchase. A shooter I met said his friend has a Xdm 5.25 .40 with the trigger job, 3 mags, heavy buffer tube for $900. Any advice would be appreciated
  19. I know what you mean but looks like a long summer coming, sorry for the slow response as I am learning how to check back on the post
  20. Thanks for the replies. I looked up the x-caliber, very neat looking gun. I own a glock 23 .40 gen 2. I just put a 3.5 lb trigger and hi vis front site. Haven't got it to the range yet. The gun I purchase will be strictly used for competition. When I take the glock to the range and put rounds through it, she kicks like a mule. I have noticed that most guys use 9mm? and they are reloading lighter rounds (whole nother info collecting)
  21. i am new to shooting, so many pistols to choose from. what would be your suggestion for a pistol to star with (fat stubby hands) and caliber?
