I've shot this game for 15 years. Here are is what I've seen:
1. There are actually a few good, experienced SOs that go straight by the rulebook.
2. Usually it depends on what the SO thinks of you. If you aren't a threat to beat him, that helps too.
3.if you are usually in his buddy squad you're safe from most PE's.
4. At state shoots, where they don't know you, you better not break cover.
5. If the SO likes you, and hates the guy you are always trying to beat, you will almost never get a cover call.
True... But sad

There isn't a single rule in IDPA that makes a lick of sense. They are just rules. They don't have to make sense, and, if it's "just a club match" adhered to.
Thank God, that the only IDPA rule I generally agree within the L.E./Military tactical duty gear exemption. I like IDPA for the tactical side, and before I am called a Hater I like shooting IDPA; However, it is a sport that isn't flexible and does not evolve (at least here in Colorado). I have never seen a sport that has so many rule monkey's, that don't know the rules themselves.

Change your grip, it ain't the guns fault. Based on the photos. Are you getting snake bit, by the slide too?

34 parts... All but the barrels and slides are the same... The 17 and 34 use the same frame and same guide rod. Gen dependent.

I have been shooting USPSA and IDPA for about a year and half. Loving every moment of it.
