Following, I’d be interested in finding a stock 2 slide also for shooting carry optics. I’ve checked around but haven’t found anything, even used.

My Limited Custom in .40
Absolutely love this gun. Running 200gr Rainier Ballistics bullets, CFE Pistol and it shoots flat and soft. Every part Patriot Defense makes for it is inside and outside..

Couldn’t you just order a 6” barrel and maybe have it threaded?? I had a similar thought about this the other day when I was picking out a .22 suppressor.

So if I have a little slide lightening done it should help I’m assuming?

I meant if my current limited slide is .40, and I’m wanting to go 9mm.. sorry for the confusion lol
To clarify, I currently have a limited in .40
I’m considering a gold team top end in 9mm, but it was mentioned above that a barrel and Comp may be a viable option.. would the barrel/Comp option work?

If you're specifically interested in atlas' comp you can either get a Gold Team top end and his comp will thread onto the non-ported barrel, or you can order a 6" barrel from EAA for your limited and have it cut and threaded for his comp. I'm going the latter route, since the barrel is $190 and the comp is $260, not accounting for gunsmithing costs for cutting and threading. If I'm not mistaken buying and cutting a barrel also ends up being slightly longer and heavier than a Gold Team, and you'll lose out on the slide cuts that a Gold Team has. Apolo would probably know best how functionally different they are.
I’m sure Joe at Patriot could probably help me out in the barrel threading/cutting dept, but would it still work with my Limited being a .40?
I really appreciate everyone’s input on this.

So, is the factory top end even worth messing with? Or do I need to piece together my own top end?

kneelingatlas, is the short-dust-cover frame essential for making your comp work? I'm seriously tempted by it and contemplating getting a 9mm Limited to use as the basis for the build; would the dust-cover have to be cut?
I’m curious as well, I’m guessing so since the guide rod is used as a support?

I've never been a big fan of the V12 design, too many holes, too small a comp, so using elements from my two favorite 2011 comps (by Eric Davis and Jared Drinkwater) I developed a replacement: four ports in the comp, no holes in the barrel. It shoots flatter, softer and requires less powder to make major widening powder and bullet options.
I'm using it with a Limited slide and short dust cover frame, but it's designed to drop into a Gold Team using the spare, un-ported barrel.
I’m looking at actually buying a gold team top end to put onto my Limited Custom rather than buying the whole gun. I like the look of that Comp you posted though.

Who here is running a tanfo open in 9mm major?
What loads are you running to make PF?
Any reliability concerns with 9mm vs. 38SC?
Just looking for feedback good or bad. -
Following.. from what I understood, firing from the shoulder with a KAK blade or a brace was ok as per the letters from ATF, but USPSA took a stance as not ok for competition if I remember correctly. It would be a good thing to know for sure though as it’s been a while since the ATF letters have been written.

Awesome, I love the parts they are making and the customer support they give is above and beyond.

I have a code for Patriot Defense if you’re interested. I went Henning on some parts and ended up going with PD after some headache.

Who has these available? I know Patriot doesn’t yet.

I’m running a RedHill tactical holster and have been more than happy with it. Ran it all last year and this year, top quality product in my opinion.

You need to Logon first, then select Member Resources -> BOD Minutes
Then you will see this, the updated Appendices are near the end:
I’ll try that again, it didn’t work for me earlier. Thanks

I still can’t view or find any of the documents to see the rule changes for some reason. Links open to an error page.

I haven’t even been able to find the attachments for the BOD meeting regarding any rule changes whatsoever. Anyone have a link that works? The 2 in this thread are both an error page for the USPSA site.

With them not having a complete and working model to show people, I think the price point is a little steep. If I had to make a decision right now I would buy an atlas sightblock because I’ve seen them in finished form and know people shooting them.

I thought they would fit but John may be onto something.. I was thinking large frame in general regardless of the trigger guard would work.

I’ve been scouring the inter web trying to find a slide to give CO a try in 2018 and still shoot production but it’s looking more like I’ll be buying a stock 1

This seems to be a common problem with these grips due to the variations in the tanfo guns.. The Patriot Defense grips are a way better fit to the frames and your hands (atleast in my opinion).

It’s worth it to give them a call. They might actually take your info down and get you in line to get one.. Great people to deal with. Tell them Craig Worrell sent you.

Call Joe or JoAnna at Patriot Defense, have them keep an eye out for you unless maybe they have one in stock already.

The reaming process from Patriot Defense is fast and reasonably priced at $40. I believe that includes return shipping.
