  1. Nice thanks. I tried a search but for some reason it always says no results found no matter what I search for.So it's pretty much a toss up then.. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  2. What G-lock was that for?factory mags? I'm only curious Cuz I'm loading blue bullets at 1.14-1.15 and they seem to cycle through the mag fine. Also, what variance do you see for over all length while loading? I seem to get that .01 variance, normal? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

  4. I was afraid of that. I was hoping I'd here they are identical. Lol. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  5. I'm in the market for a new gun. I had the chance to fondle a witness limited the other day and it feels perfect in my hand. I would pull the trigger on it but it seems like there is a lack of aftermarket support for it, which leads me to the cz tactical sport. Problem is I have never handled one and would have to order it sight unseen. The pictures make them look very similar and I know the witness is a clone, so do think they feel/fit your hand the same? Would it be safe to assume if the witness feels good the ts would as well? Thanks Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  6. 40 cal. I didn't measure them, but I expanded them more and it seems to have solved it, But just for my information, is there a "spec" or ideal amount that the expanded case mouth should measure?Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  7. No, I have separate dies for each. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  8. Yep blue bullets. Opened up the flair alittle more, no more little blue ribbons, much easier to balance the bullets on there too! Thanks! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  9. I get these little ribbons shaved off when the bullet is getting seated, is this normal or should I open up the case alittle more with the expanding die? Thanks Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  10. Looks great, guess my next project will be a wet tumbler [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  11. I dont, but I don't see why you couldn't just take a hammer and drive them into the railroad tie a half inch or so. I would think they would fall and set back up fine. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks again Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  13. Nevermind your last post sank in finally Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks grumpy. In regards to removing the flair, what's the proper way to determine it's set correctly? I seen someone use a marker to check it. I couldn't find that post again. I believe they measured the little gap in the line after the case. Does that sound correct? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. Got a couple dummy rounds loaded. Seems like 1.16 is all the mag will take. It passes the plunk test, in the factory barrel anyways, I'll try it in the lone wolf when I get it back. The first couple I was able to easily push the bullet back into the case. I tighten the crimping die a quarter turn and now I can't push it back any longer. Is that good or should I go back a 1/8 turn and try it? This brass came out of my factory barrel and clearly has the coke bottle effect, is that worry some? Is there anything else of note from the picture? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks fellas I appreciate the help. I still have a lot to learn [emoji2] Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  17. I guess a less convoluted question would be how would a longer bullet length affect the powder charge, overall length, ect Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  18. I guess my pic didn't work, but the bb is .608 long and the factory remintion bullet is .537. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  19. Here's the essence of my question... the fired bullet, which is a factory remintion round (180gr)is much shorter than the bayou bullet(180) that I wish to load. If the over all length of the cartridge stays the same the bayou bullet will be much deeper in the case, I assume this is raising the pressure? I've bought the lyman manual and read through it, unless I missed it, there is not any talk about this. Just so I'm clear. Is this still ok, it sea like the bayou will be really deep in the case. Is this normal? This is were starting low and woking up, watching for pressure signs ect, is advised? Or do I need to find a bullet that is shorter so the bottom of the bullet is the same depth as the factory round? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  20. The most dangerous part of loading .40 Major, is bullet setback. When you load up some .40 Minor's, push the bullets as hard as you can into the case (against your reloading bench) and then measure the OAL to see if they "set back" at all. If they did, you need a tighter resizing die .... I've read alot about checking set back, I will definitely be checking it. I have a set of lee dies, hope they do the trick.Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  21. I went through the winchester website which brought me to the hodgdon load data, They also said 5.4 as a starting point. They obviously don't have bayou bullets as an option, is it an assumption that all 180 grain bullets will load the same? Can I use that data to load coated bullets? Also, Is there a manual you would suggest? All I seen in town here was a nosler one. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  22. I've been doing alot of reading and I think I'm ready to try my hand at reloading. I'll be reloading for a g22 with a lone wolf barrel, stock length. I've read that WSF is a pretty safe powder to start with. If I used that with 180gr bayou tcg bullets loaded to 1.14(?) What would be a good starting point for a powder charge? I don't mind starting low in minor and working up to a major load. I use my hands every day and prefer to keep them intact. Thanks Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
