  1. They ought to just do it. Make LO a provisional minor only division and check HHF vs CO classifiers. When it’s determined that LO has the same HHF as CO, dump LO as a standalone division and allow SA guns in CO.

I really don’t care if they say no magwells or all the magwells. And I don’t have a LO gun that I want a division to be created around so I can be competitive. IDPA allows SA in CO…  I can’t believe USPSA is getting outplayed by fudds.

older shooter here. i bought myself a rival an for the most part love it however.... i'm shocked by the muzzle flip this thing has. it has a lot more flip than my lil p365. anyone else notice this? is it me? i do have a very weak left hand from R/A. that doesn't seem to effect my other handguns. i expected with a 5" barrel there to be less flip. what say ya'll?

What ammo are you shooting? Most of the 115 factory stuff chrono’s at ~140PF in my gun.

  3. Anybody know the thread pitch/size for the R02 plate? The screws that came with my sight are not long enough to engage the threads on the optic plate. I emailed canik but haven’t got a response.

    thanks

Man sorry to hear that. Theres a guy on reddit who said that same thing happened to him with the original rival when it first came out. We both ordered the steel right away and I was worried that would happen. Luckily They shipped mine quick but I ordered it very quick after it was released.

I heard on reddit theres a place in Texas called Range USA or something that  like that has them but for in store only.

Range USA had one black one and one chrome one at the store I went to. I opted for shiny 😃

I think it got held up because they didn’t have my FFL on file, but who knows.

Range USA is in my neck of the woods; I’ll give them a call. Thanks for the tip!

I wonder if it's partly because a higher percentage of shooters are shooting 9mm? Otherwise I would think with other costs having skyrocketed shooters would still prefer to brass more to save a few bucks.

At a small match with small squads I get that there wouldn't be enough bodies to reset but with full squads there should be.

I think that has a lot to do with it. When I shoot 9mm I may or may not grab some brass. When I shoot 40 or 45 I hate leaving it.

Are they available, since Remington ceased to exist? I would think used ones are, but then again are parts available?

Don't know if OP has one or is looking to get one.

Found a good deal on a used one locally. It’s had the port opened up and a Nordic tube.

  8. One of the best “thank you’s” that I ever got was a decent sized box of wet tumbled .40 brass. The MD knew I shoot a lot of limited and always helped tear down after a match and still had a 2 hour drive back home.

I think the best idea is to tell everyone at the shooters meeting to tear down their last stage (assuming it’s been shot by everyone) before they leave. If the whole squad pitches in it only takes 10 minutes or so.

If you try to give me a BS procedural after the match is over, I won’t be back at your match… or help tear down.

I recall there was a time in Production Div where shooting a Glock 35 with a 9mm barrel was not allowed. IIRC the rationale was Glock never made a G35 chambered in 9mm.  This is back in the blue or maroon rulebook days.  But as noted above, the updated equipment rules in App D4 and D7 allow for aftermarket barrels and slides.

    This.

The change took place maybe 2-3 years ago as I remember.

  10. I was working a match this weekend and realized how to fix a lot of the complaints I see about production and limited.

Simply remove the optics requirement from CO. The people wanting 15-20 round Production, as well as those wishing for a A fudgecicle nobody but a few crayon chewers and winder likkers want division would have a place to go without adding 1-2 new divisions.

I have always said the reason Production is dying is because Practiscore presents the default results view as the overall, and people are migrating to CO, Open and PCC because finishing 24th at your local match even though you won your division sucks.

I like it when I make the top 10 with a SS gun 😎
