Someone got some important mail!! First impressions are great with this scope. Glass is unreal especially compared to the viper pst and primary arms 1-8 that i have on hand. Red dot is nice and precise. Don’t try to run it on higher settings because it’s blinding in the house. I’m sure outside it would be better but I couldn’t see needing to go above 8 on a sunny day. Not as heavy as I anticipated and doesn’t feel near as heavy as my primary arms. Now I need a nice mount and next weekend I’ll be zeroing this and breaking my barrel in at the same time!! 2. per c-more website: Ballistics are based on a 200 yard zero, for a 55 grain bullet exiting the bore at 3150 fps.

have the razor hd with the jm bdc reticle which is pretty close to the c-more.  zeroed at 200, i'm pretty good at 300 but then have to hold a bit higher than the 4, 5 & 600 lines on the scope as i'm using heavier (69) slower bullets for the longer range stuff.

Does the heavier stuff stabilize more at longer range? I’ve noticed a lot of people shooting that over the standard 55gr I shoot mostly.

  3. Wow awesome tips guys. Yeah I see some guys dropping these $100 STI mags on the hard dirt over and over doing dry drills and it blows my mind. I’ll do that for sure. Any other books or anything? I have seen some people buy some tiny cardboard ipsc targets and tiny dots and tape them on the wall and use those for practice. Making them sounds cheaper and easier and using shoot’n’see stick on 1” circles seems easiest for those.

  4. I know several of you have your own exercises you use to get proficient at drawing and finding your sights and also transition drills. What are some materials you have used and found helpful? Books? Small targets to put on the wall? I know there is a lot of stuff out there and this winter I would like to work with my new STI and JP rifle along with my shotgun to get proficient at reloads and sight pictures and whatnot. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  5.
I run the brush back and fourth a couple times.  Think 'scrubbing action.'

I use a jag to push cotton patches through and I remove the patch before pulling the rod out.  The bore guide does an excellent job of keeping the rod centered.

Great. I haven’t been doing it too wrong lol. So what about chamber brushes? I bought a Dewey rod with a chamber brush attached to it and use it a lot on my AR’s after several hundred rounds but I could see where it could scar one up being it’s all wire brushes essentially.

  6. So with the purchase of my new JP rifle I want to make sure I don’t screw anything up. 1) is the bore guid necessary and 2) is a chamber brush okay to use? I have a Dewey rod with a chamber brush attached and it does a great job at cleaning the chamber but I want to make sure I don’t scar it up or do something wrong. I am a BIG fan of bore snakes. Is this a no go? Sorry this is my first high end competition rifle and I do not want to screw it up! Thanks in advance!

  7. I’ll be the black sheep here and say I bought a jm pro and have had ZERO issues with it. I installed some of the OR3GUN parts and the SkyTac parts and knock on wood, it’s ran like a raped ape. I keep it clean just like you will need to do with ANY gas gun. I was told by Mr. Benny Hill (helped design it) that they are 50/50. They either run great out of the box like mine, or don’t at all like 2 he had. Apparently mossberg will do right and fix it but I wouldn’t want to do all of that. With all of this being said, I’d go stoeger for sure. Seems like a “cheaper benelli” and moa seems to be putting out some top notch gear. I looked into them and everyone else I could find before settling on a Hayes M2. I strongly agree with the post above. I would try what I had or borrow someone’s shotgun before I invested too much money to make sure you want to play the game. Some people get heavy in and never enjoy it and then sale their gear CHEAP on here. I would strongly recommend stalking the classifieds here also. I’ve seen some deeply discounted shotguns from all the custom shops like triangle shooting, RCI, etc.

  8. yep you have some real nice stuff!  the only prob with that is now it's up to you to get it done out there!  have fun and be safe!

Definitely can’t blame the gear now [emoji23][emoji23]

  9. I'm using an MK Machine throw lever for the Sig Tango 6 scope, with a slightly longer screw. I managed to destroy the first one but Tyler at MK agreed to make me a beefed up unit for a little extra money.

Nice. Do I find them with a google search??

  10. What is everyone using for a throw lever on this scope? I have one coming and would like to add one. Also mounts. I have a p.e.p.r mount and an American defense mount. Obviously the ADM is higher quality but it seems to sit way lower and i have to get my head in a seriously awkward angle to get a sight picture. It’s quick detach also so not sure if that’s a plus or minus. I may have to buy another mount but don’t want to waste anymore money on a low pro or anything. Thanks in advance!

  11. What you meant to say is that you're getting your gear just the way you want it for the time being. As you get into the game more, you may find that some suggestions don't exactly work for you.

I agree. Unfortunately I’ve done this multiple times with different hobbies. The “best of the best” doesn’t stay there long! This should last me for a while though and another perk for buying high end is that it holds resale value great!

  12. Dammit, I hope this C-more is as good as everyone says. That discount was too much to pass up. It still works if anyone else wants one.

Yeah I seriously went out on a ledge with this. Bought it without many reviews or anything just trusting what the good people here had to say lol. Hopefully it is as nice as everyone claims. For that price, it’s really hard to pass up.

  13. Thanks to all the advice on here and me asking 1,000,000 questions, I am slowly getting all my gear like I want it. With the old saying “buy once, cry once” in play, the initial investment hurts but I know it will pay off in the end! So far I have my STI DVC 3 gun, just picked up my JP 15 build this morning and I’m waiting on my Hayes Custom m2. I have also ordered a cmore c3 scope and a safariland ELS belt and kit. My NERD holster and mag pouches should be here next week along with the other stuff I just mentioned. I will update this with my benelli and kit when it gets here. For now, here is where I am! Thanks again to all the great advice on here. I sold a few firearms that I never used (Walther pistol, AK-47’s) and haven’t quite broke even but still worth every penny! Now on to Ammo and plenty of shooting!! Spoiler alert: black and gold is what Theme I’m sticking with! [emoji13]

  14. I just saw a video posted BY JP and I have a question or two more. They say use a JP Bore guide. Is this necessary? A lot of times I only use a bore snake but for this break in, I’ll use a rod. Also, it said to use some special solvent in the bore? And idea on some brands that are okay for this? I’d like to not have to order a bunch of new stuff just for a break in. I typically use CLP and use a barrel brush then a couple of swans until they are clean.

  15. Thanks to all of the advice on here I bought a new JP-15 18” rifle. With that being said I keep hearing things said about “breaking in” my new rifle. I’m sure it will come with instructions on this but I like knowing a little about this before hand. Thanks in advance!
