Lead is off the rifling and I shockbottle every round prior to it going into our Border Shift bag.
I think Robert has mine in good shape now though. It now goes into battery by itself and I'm running a 14# spring. The last two range trips, no issues (knock on wood).

Mine did. Every time.

drip bottle with Mobil 1 also. I leave a rag under it to catch the drips and wipe off the excess every so often.

Depending on how much too tall it is, you can cut the case feeder post down some.

I've had this happen twice now with my X5 and eject the extractor. Anyone else?
-
I'm leaning that way but figured I'd hold out until say Jan or so and see where the dust settles. ;-)

I haven't had him do my trigger "yet". This trip was for a broken extractor. I did handle one that he had finished and all I can say is WOW!
I WILL be taking mine to him. I just need to decide if I want to do the voluntary recall on it first... I'm basically in a holding pattern on that front.

Just got back from Robert Burke's today with mine. He's a Great guy!

I've been debating the same thing...
I'm thinking I'll hold for a bit and send it in during a lull.

I've had the best luck with Win. I recently purchased some CCI and they take quite a bit longer to feed and I've had a couple flip on me (in 5000). I'll only be using Win from now on if possible.

I followed suit and bought .180" Tall x .100" . For me, cranked down all the way, the gun is now too high. My 147 grain load is about 4 inches high at 20 yards. I will make a careful test but I think something around the .205 is going to be on the money.
I ended up getting:
Height and Width: .205" Tall x .100" Wide
But I haven't time to get to the range with it yet.

Thank you!

For those with the jacked up rear sight, you can get a shorter (and preferably wider) front sight from Dawson and bring that down a bunch. The sights Dawson have listed for the P320 Compact are the same dovetail as the X5, so you have more choices than what they have listed for the full size. I switched to a .185 x .115 and the rear sight is almost all the way down with the gun shooting dead on.
Dawson is telling me the Compact is a "different dovetail".
Can anyone else confirm or deny this?

I had mine out last weekend and it's hitting low like most others. I'm working with Dawson now to get the correct height. I'm loving the RHT holster too.
While I'm waiting on that does anyone know the true barrel material? I haven't had time to call them directly about this yet but I figured I'd ask you folks too.

Placed my RHT holster order on May 19th, hoping any day now. ;-)

I'll be following this thread. ;-)
I found that my RF100 works MUCH better with Winchester small rifle/pistol primers than it does with CCI. I've never tried Federal. I'll be buying Winchester going forward though.
With Winchester mine is reasonably fast and 100%.
With CCI mine is literally only about 1/2 to 3/4 as fast as the Winchester and about 99.7 or 99.8%. Seems like I get 2 or 3 flipped CCIs per box of 1000.

RifleGear in Plano, TX have several of these right now. ;-)

From my experience, the max load is normally not the most accurate load. I'm sure there are examples where max is most accurate. I typically end up picking my most accurate load somewhere South of max. Depending on the caliber, it could be a grain or two.

Not something I would do or subject my firearms to.

You may need to realign your press.

You're replacing the pawl so maybe some heat? ;-)
-
On a side note....
I see you haven't bent your ejection wire to account for the bearing and washers. If you start having eject issues, because the wire is high and causes binding from tipping the round slightly, just put the recommended bend in it and you'll be all set. ;-)

This may be obvious but... I don't understand how " I find the die body threads into the press further and further (nothing on top to hold it in place)"
The nut/lock ring on the bottom should work in the same fashion as it does on top by locking the die to the toolhead. Are you holding the die stationary with a wrench while you're tightening the ring?
If so, than x2 on "I think just a little more elbow grease when you tighten them might solve it."

I've loaded 10s of thousands of rounds over the past 30 years and never had an issue with one. I do assume it was replaced when I sent my press in to Dillon to be rebuilt though.
