  1. Thanks for all the info, I now have a good base line to work from. Thanks again!
  2. If I load a Flat Point to the same length as my Round Nose, won't the square corner on the Flat Point hang up on the feed ramp of the barrel?
  3. My previous load, which works well, is 147gr Blue Bullet RN. My AOL for is 1.150. I'm assuming because of the FP profile, it will need to be seated a little deeper.
  4. Decided to give the Bayou Bullets 9mm 147gr FP a try for my Minor PF load. Looking for some OAL data to be used in a G34.
  5. From the sounds of it, it seems there is no real benefit to using new brass versus once fired brass. Considering the cost difference, and the fact that I do have a somewhat small shooting budget, I think I'll stick with once fired for now. I will start sorting by head stamp to see if that makes a difference for me. I want to thank you all for your help and advice.
  6. I'll be doing some USPSA and a few local club steel challenge type shoots.
  7. I guess I was just wondering if by using new brass, my loads might be more consistent and accurate?
  8. I'd like to try using new brass for my 9mm, I've always used my own from once fired factory ammo. Other than higher cost, what are the advantages of using new brass versus once fired brass. Also, what are the differences between standard brass and +P. Are there any positives or negatives for using +P brass over standard brass assuming they are both new and made by the same manufacturer. For what it's worth, I'm using a Dillon XL650 with Dillon carbide dies. Thanks in advance!
  9. Just got mine a couple days ago. I still have to get a SD card for it before I can use it. I'm gonna try and get to the indoor range this weekend (it was -6 out this morning) to give it a try. I'm hoping I'll like it as much as I think I will. The unit appears to be made very well. I opted to get the base with the ball head for it. While it looks very nice, the metal is a little thin a the ball head small. I'll give it a try though. I'll give a little review after I put it through its paces. I'll only be shooting pistols, no rifles allowed at the indoor range.
  10. Just getting back into reloading after about 20 yrs. Really enjoying it, but I'll need all the help I can get!
