  1. 1) AccuShadow from CZ Custom. DA 5.5lbs/SA 2.25lbs. Competition trigger job from CZC, but added the 8.5 lb hammer spring and trigger return spring from Cajun.

    2) Shadow target. DA 6lbs/SA 2.25 lbs. Trigger job by Cajun Gun Works, with its trigger return spring, 8.5lb hammer spring.

Both guns require Federal primers for reliable ignition.

Does it require the federal match grade primers or do the standard blue box primers work?

  2. Lowest I've been able to get is DA 3.25lbs and SA 1.75lbs.

This is a fully modded shadow with everything polished up running a 7.5lb Dan Wesson hammer spring.

It's to light like that tho, I run it with a 11.5 hammer spring.

So it looks like the ideal poundage is between 2 and 3#'s right? I don't want to have any accidental discharges on a stage.

  3. So after my polishing/mods the SP01 was 7 pounds, 4 oz DA, 2 pounds, 11.6 ounces SA and a Shadow with all the same springs/polishing, but without the firing pin block/lifter was 5 pounds, 7 ounces DA, 2 pounds, 7 ounces SA. Keep in mind that these results are with an 11.5# hammer spring, which when combined with an extended firing pin and reduced power firing pin return spring will set off most small pistol primers (I haven't tried Tula or Wolf); with an 8.5# hammer spring and Federal primers, you can go much lower, but I feel like it gets a little mushy at that point.

I plan on using this like my guidebook. This post is actually what inspired this thread. Great workout mad scientist

  4. Is the extended mag release from the Shadow line a significant improvement over the stock SP-01 mag release or does the stock do just fine in a USPSA/IDPA environment?

  5. CZ 75 SP-01, DA-7lb 4oz, SA-2lb 6oz, followed Atlas's guide here in the forum. I used the CZC comp hammer, CZ 85 trigger, CGW Reduced power TRS, CGW SRS-2 kit, CGW Type 2 Disco, along with a lot of polishing. I used the 11.5lb hammer spring from the SRS-2 kit. It was night and day difference from stock.

Those are the same components that i am going to be working with. Did you have to work on the timing at all once you had everything together?

  6. Does an Accu Shadow count? DA ~4.5#, SA~2#, using 8.5# main spring and federal primers.

Accu Shadow definitely counts. I am also interested if the Shadows are the only ones capable of getting into the low 2# or under SA and 4# DA. I've got some CGW parts ready to put in as soon as this SP-01 emerges from this snow storm.

  7. As I am sitting here in snowmagedon, anxiously waiting for the arrival of my new purchase to arrive at the local gun shop (A stock SP-01) I would like to see what poundage you have achieved in your SP-01,

what model it is and what you did to get it there. Ultimately I am looking for the latest and greatest ideas and methods to recreate on my own SP-01 whenever it makes it.

    Format as follows:

Gun/Model/DA lbs/SA lbs/ What You did to get there/pictures if you have them.

    Go!
