  1. What kind of guiderod did you go with?
  2. PayPal refunded the purchase. Only took a day or two. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah, I reported it through PayPal yesterday. It said I could escalate it to a claim on January 15th. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Update on the trigger I ordered back in November. Has anyone else had issues ordering one of these? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I emailed to see if this was a normal time and they said 10-15 days. So it could come any day at that rate. Here is what the tracking says. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I ordered one on the 22nd, looks like it’s still waiting to ship out of Slovenia based on the tracking information. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Looks like they have also added all of the OEM Alpha parts into the store as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. It was also a USPSA box, and I believe it is on the tighter end of the acceptable tolerances. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Sorry for the poor lighting, but looks like 42.7oz with the basepad and empty mag inserted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I can weight them when I get home. It should be good for USPSA weight, are you talking about the IDPA weight? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Picked up a set of the Henning pro Production Basepads. They fit the box. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. FYI, I swapped the 17lb hammer spring and sear spring. The FP springs aren’t the same as a note. I loaded a primer only empty case with Federal/CCI/S&B and it set all three off no problem in double action. Good hits with a 17. I’d like to try out a 15lb if I can find one. Any ideas on where the best place to get one would be? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Experiment time. Ordered a Grey Guns master spring kit for the 226 series. Going to see how compatible everything in here is with the Rex Alpha. Before I broke it down I swapped in the 17# hammer spring and it felt like butter in double action. Lighter and zero stacking compared to the springs that came with the gun. Seemed to have a solid amount of force, but I won’t be able to function check until tomorrow. More to come. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Still have my Alpha, but I haven’t let go of the Tanfo’s yet . I like the way it shoots and looks, but I’m definitely not as comfortable with it yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. FYI, it looks like the Rex magazines take the same basepads as the CZ shadow and Sig. https://cesar-shop.com/product/base-pad-alu-with-plate-y1-cz-shadow-rex-sig-sauer-1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Don’t have any hard data. It is smoother. I dropped the grey spring in and polished the trigger bar, hammer, hammer strut and anything I thought had contact. I was surprised to sear wear marks on some of the internals where they had contacted other parts. It didn’t eliminate the stacking entirely, but it’s a lot less noticeable. I’d have hesitation shooting it DA at 15-20yards. From what I can see, the springs are the same as a 226, I’m tempted to order the $20 Grey guns spring kit to try out. 17. I took it apart to do some polishing work to see if I could smooth out the DA stacking any. It’s pretty simple to break down and put back together. Couple tips I can give real quick if you are considering it. The only tricky thing was getting the sear spring and sear back into place. A Q-tip slave pin worked pretty well. Also, when putting the safeties back on, do the left one first and press the detent down from the top frame hole and then do the right side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. If you are looking to fully disassembly your Alpha, here is a video to get you about 85% of the way there. It appears to be very similar to the Sig P226 X5 competition internally except it is a DA/SA instead of SAO. Time to get mine back together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. It could be something going on with the ammo. I’ve only had one issue, and it was a failure to feed but it was a round that didn’t go through the crimp die on my reloader. I would say try a box of brass case rounds and see if that changes anything and then go from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. They’re out now. Made a notch with a dremel and replaced them. Can confirm, they take Sig 226 grip screws. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. It’s a T10 Torx. The screws look to be the same as what comes on a 226. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. They aren’t kidding when they say these grip screws are loctited from the factory. Even with a heat gun, I was only able to get one off and strip the other 3. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Had anyone added base pads and checked the production box with them? If you found some that work, what kind are you going with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Does anyone know if these take any of the normal Sig P226 internals? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I’ve been thinking about trying something different from my stock 2, and got this on a whim. I may turn around and sell it but wanted to at least get one in my hands to mess with. I thought all of the US ones had a firing pin block? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
