Does it do it if you pull the slide all the way back to release the slide lock?

Pretty much any small flat file will work. Just go slow, a couple extra strokes will can ruin your new safety.

Might want to take a look at Dawson Precision. They have what you are looking for.

This was from the first shots while test firing. I didn't have any sights mounted, I just used the top of the slide. 15yds. I think it's going to do pretty well!

Anyone have feedback on the 10rd MBX mags for us in restricted states?

I've used the kit from Brazos and very happy with it. Keep in mind that the thumb safety will most likely have to be refitted.

I just finished up installing the barrel. KART was easy to deal with. I ordered it direct and got a 20% discount! Fitting was pretty straight forward, the hardest part was fitting the O.D of the bushing.

Hi Guys,
Im doing my first decent quality 2011 build (CK Frame, Brazos Lightning Slide) and I'm looking for some advice on a barrel. I've used drop in barrels in cheap builds that were loose and not very accurate. I see some barrels come with the lower lugs cut and link already installed. How can they fit the lower lugs and link without ever having it installed first? I'm leaning towards a gunsmith fit barrel and buying a few tools to install it correctly..
Any recommendations from an experienced builder would be appreciated.

The place I ordered the slide from sent the wrong one. I'm returning it for a refund and just ordered a Lightning slide from Brazos.

I just ordered a frame from CK Arms. While I was doing that I asked if they offered any slides. I was told no.. I would have liked to order buy one of their slides to go with their frame. I ended up getting a STI slide.

It has APEX Aluminum trigger and a magwell. I really wouldn't want to take that stuff off. I would rather just buy another one. It has a APEX barrel also but that doesn't matter. I have a HK VP9 that I could use in production.

I like starting on the bottom. Haha. It seems to me that they are trying to slow things down. I usually do better on stages that have more targets than less. I enjoy the run and gun type of thing.. 18rd max stages are getting old

Thanks for the reply! From what I've been reading, major seems to be most popular choice. I have 1911's in 9 and 45, VP9 that I could use in production and the M&P that would be limited minor. I guess the most important thing is to go and shoot. I like running the M&P a lot, maybe just shoot limited minor with it? At the club level does minor really hurt your score?
