A little background on me.
I'm 33 years old and have been shooting 1911s since I was about 8yrs old when I first fired my grandfathers government issued 1911. It was love at first shot for me. I've had alot of different 1911s over the years Colts, Kimbers, Sigs, Dan Wesson, RIA, Para, Springfields, well you get the picture. If they make a 1911 platform chances are I've owned one. I recently started looking at custom 1911s such as the big 4 Les Baer, Wilson, Ed Brown, Nighthawk but couldn't find anything that fit my budget and my wants. Then about 2 weeks ago I found this Frank Glenn Custom 1911 in 45acp with the 9mm conversion kit also. I got a good deal on it I'm sure of that. I haven't had it out to the range yet but upon visual inspection it seems to be really well built very tight and wonderful fit and finish. I just wondered if anyone here has any experience with these guns and what their thoughts/opinions are?
I'm really wanting to get into competition shooting and would like to know if this is a good pistol to start with?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
