Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I have abandoned Froglube and Seal-1 for anything other than coating exposed parts for rust protection due to performance across the temperature range and stickiness that occurs after shooting and putting a dirty gun away. Rand CLP, FireClean, and Slip products remain at the top of the heap from my use in testing. They improve cleanup, keep the gun lubed for a long time despite round count or resting in a rifle rack, and really don't cost that much if you aren't one of those types who hoses ever crevice with a gallon of product. BF CLP is close to the last thing I like to use on guns and would rather use motor oil in its place.
  2. Hi, NE Ohioan here. I was referred by a friend who has done some USPSA and has convinced me to give it a whirl. I am in the prep phase of operations now and am thinking about limited or limited 10. I am currently working with a SA Loaded Operator (full rail), Gen 3 Glock 21 and will probably move to a 35 some day when I don't have 21k a year in student tuition to pay. I am all about the essentials and how much performance I can squeeze out of the simplest methods and equipment. I have lurked here for a little while and with an open mind hope to learn much from the wealth of knowledge here. Lastly, I come from a background of combative shooting but have been in pursuit of shooting performance for probably the last year or so. I plan to use my future competition to strengthen my skills and hopefully take my shooting performance to the next level with your (the forum's) help! -Bill-
