  1. Hey Guys,

I started shooting open revolver a few weeks ago and I’m having an issue with my bullets falling out of the front of the cylinder. Below is a summary of my reloading.

    Dillon 650 with Dillon dies

    Mr. Bullet Feeder

    Starline brass

    Xtreme 115gn plated bullets

    3.0 Clays powder

    1.145oal

I have started over with my crimp die setting with the Dillon recommended height and have adjusted it incrementally to a point that is ridiculous low and makes and distinct crimp in the plating. I shoot a 929 that holds 8 rounds. If I shoot 5 shots all three that are left either look like the picture or actually come out so far the cylinder won’t turn. I’m not sure what to do. I have the Dillon carbide resizing die and the bullet feeder die is set to put the minimum bell needed for the bullet to sit on the case.

  2. I used a full size cmore for years on my open gun (2011). Had issues with ejection path early on but got it tuned to work. After about 15k rounds ejection problems came back and I had a hard time fixing it. Switched to an RTS2 for last season and struggled all year finding my dot on the first shot after draw. Switched back over winter And it was like looking through a 55gal drum. After intensive tuning I think she’s ready for another season.  Dot is there every draw, maybe not centered but it’s in the glass every time. Sitting at 93.48 in open SC hoping for GM this year.

I just used the last of my berrys plated bullets and decided to

give bayou bullets a try. I couldn't find a bad review anywhere so I

ordered 4000. I have a open xdm 9mm and a limited xdm. I could shoot

over 200 rounds through my open gun with the berrys before my cmore

lense needed cleaning. I went to a falling steel match last weekend and

could barley see through my lense at the end of a stage. I had some

berrys with so I cleaned the lense and shot 3.5 stages and could see

right through. My comp, blast sheild and cmore were covered with what

looked like black spray paint. I had to use lime away to get it off my

lense and a die grinder with a scotch brite pad to get it off my carver

sight mount. 115gn bullet, power pistol powder 1200fps. Limited gun

seemed normal. Anyone else see this before?

  4. Hey guys,

I have been having an issue I'm not sure how to solve. I shoot steel challenge only both limited and open. I have noticed when I miss with my limited gun (fiber front sight) I'm putting the pin on the plate but it's well above the rear sight notch. I started dry fire practicing with 5 small paper plates on the wall. If I do a run at normal speed and stop short of pressing the trigger on the last plate and really look at my sight alignment it's always above the notch. I looked at the ghost ring style sights but not sure I want to go that route. If I make sure the pin is down in the notch it seems like it takes forever to make my shots. Any drill or training ideas?
