It fits in the box, with no trimming or grinding. Praetorian97 had one for IDPA CDP and I also used the same gun in IDPA (the same exact gun, I bought it). The measurements that EAA lists for a lot of there stuff is not correct.
If I were you I would be looking at a Limited Pro, Stock III, or a CZ-75 SP01 Shadow or regular Shadow. I own 4 Witnesses (Lim Pro x 2, Limited, and Match, just sold my Stock II) and an SP01 Shadow. I like the smaller grip on the CZ as I have short fingers and even with the Eric grips on the Witnesses, it is not small enough. Doable, but the CZ feels better in my hand. The trigger on my CZ is better than any of the rest I have. No stacking, breaks cleanly and evenly each time.
Either way you can't go wrong with either or. It really comes down to parts and customer server. EAA Blows, hands down. CZ Custom shop is much much better. Both have some availability issues, but with EAA it seems they send us one small batch a year and then left overs and the odd unicorn here and there.
Thanks azgoose, I was actually lurking at your tanfo posts! Is there a way to get springs for the limpro DA trigger? Grip isn't a factor to me, I just really like how the tanfo looks but I don't want it to turn into a headache in terms of parts or spending more to make it like a CZ shadow.
