  1. The RM3G is referenced like it is suppose to follow some standard set by the 3 gun nationals. If other ranges were like the Whittington Center, perhaps other MD’s ideals would mirror the RM3G’s. Then who would be the outlaws hu?

    As for the conduct and judgment of the OR’s, my hat is off to their candor. I would like to add that my time spent at the RM3G matches was to short, they are some of the best times in memory. Now that should be worth at least 50 match points.

    Best friends

    Oh give me home

    Where the hot holstered roam

    And the skies are not cloudy all day

    Yeee Haaa

  2. I agree with most every thing you say, I shoot for the fervor.

    Love shooting these matches and I love the people in them. A beta mag; me nether, there just not reliable enough. The dead bad guys; no s**t. If its crap your carrying I wouldn’t carry it either.

    The only thing I disagree with is that these stages ARE often based on real tactical situations. Read the names on some on the stage descriptions.

  3. For what its worth

    I can see the fear in having a charged sidearm on a stage when it is not in the course description, and it is another weapon to show clear.

    Right now, in every day USA life, there are is a very large number of ordinary citizens carrying a loaded sidearm in holsters of some sort all the time. There has not been a rash of AD by drop that I am aware of.

    None of the AD dropping incidences sited in this thread have been from a holstered handgun, excluding the cop who dropped the revolver and this is suspect seeing that it discharged twice.

    If you think abought it, how many times have you, stood in a check out line behind a woman with a purse that may very well conceal (I hope there is) a loaded fire arm pointed back directly at you.

    However, as a practical point carrying a cocked and locked pistol on ‘all’ stages may just complicate things.

    Love you long time

  4. Some guys are pitted against the universal solder in heavy body armor, some against the waddies. Me, I was sent in to make the universe safe from the alien scourge. Thankfully the pesky aliens aren’t so smart they use cellulose body armor, it can’t handle our “inferior and primitive” projectile weapons, ha ha they go through it like paper.

    It’s those damn un-dead, takes a headshot. That’s when my trusty O’ll skatter gun really shines, hell you git a pack of them suckers, and thank God my utility belt holds 30 + rounds.

    Public acceptance; I didn’t know it wasn’t, every one I talk to think its cool. But its never going to popular, and its really never going to be public. The only ones that come are the ones that we invite, and I’m not ashamed or bashful of my intent, nor do I intend on hiding it.

    With warmth and affection.

  5. The state of three gunning looks great to me. However we will always be on the fringes of sporting, mass popularity can’t happen, it’s not spectator friendly for one thing.

    From the posts, the thought of one banner is not going to happen unless the banner’s a Jolly Roger.

    Back to one issue.

    {Sordid vs. Sanctified}

    { }

    { }

    In the beginning there were sporting 3 gun matches and it was at least 15 years before USPSA had 3 gun any thing, I hear they were a blast and no one got shot. Referring to any “other match” as “outlaw” sounds like a bureaucratic ploy to gain control and further erode my freedoms by-gum.

    Personal note

    I don’t play my old sport any more, the rule inventors would not make the track easier or have the equipment never go obsolete, they refused to make the ground softer and insisted on allowing faster younger players in plus life got in the way.

    In my new sport I’m not to old, to blind, to fat or to poor yet. To be competitive here I can work on developing proficiency (scary), build some form of physical prowlness (pathetic) and can afford to play.

    There will never be an easy button.
