  1. All about location.  1 guy local has 2 identacal Camrons guns exclent condition ( bult @ the time frame when Eddy was their) $2500 on 1  and $2000 on the other and can't sell them, no buyers.  another guy has a exclent condition STI Grand Master for $2500 again no buyers....

How about angle though. If we increase the points for minor all that really does is increase the HHF. Is the sport currently suffering from to low of HF's? Or, are we currently going to slow trying to get points and we need to go faster without loosing so many points?

With CO shooters occasionally beating Open shooters, I'm not sure increasing the points for minor is the right move.

would have zero efect on HHF for anything not fixed time ... ALL HHF are maximum points (nothing down on any target) combined with a smoking fast time... on fixed time having 1 C might keep you above 95% depending on the total available points  but the HHF of 100% is still all A's no peniteltys....

And the ones who have put anything besides U are wrong(as of now).

    Division U D C B A M G X
    Limited Optics 7 0 3 2 0 0 0 0

    100% correct..

But I can also see their logic  applying the 1 class down rule + Open HHF baseline  in their head to concluded they will end up 1 below their highest... You would think 5 Master & A Class shooters would have a better understanding of the process given they understand the 1 below your highest rule...

I understand the rule, but not sure why you say the HHFs don't matter, unless you just assume it's impossible for anyone to shoot good scores in LO with the current scores as they are?

The theory that using Open as a base was to high.. my response is whatever is used as a base is irrelevant along with any study and adjustments if your already classified in anything else... a GM in anything else =shoot 4 @ 10% average or 4@ 84% average = the same M card for LO.

That's why we have  L2 coming up in May in AZ nobody has a LO clasifacation or the opertunity to shoot 4 before that match but shooters have already signed up with a clasifaction selected fo LO..

I'm not sure if a Provisional Division Classification would raise your others though.

Had that question answered by Area 2 director... yes 1 below applys and clasifacations will start 1 May on anything shot as LO.. So  why the BOD is wasting effort studying hit factors for LO is lost on me, only people it would  effect is brand new shooters without any clarification in a  division

  6. Geting Ready for Limited Optics..never got a TXG Modual to point/feel right in my hands, plus their is just somthing strange in how the TXG harmonics effect recoil/counter recoil for me.

Is there a bad batch of barrels out there?  If I shoot factory ammo out of my P320s, I love the Federal Syntech 150gr.  It shoots well for me in IDPA matches

Heard their were issues (150 gr Syntec)@ nationals last year i.e. sub-minor velocity. I have seen random tumbling issues with that load in matches in lots of different platforms...

1 in 10  twist is for NATO 9X19 MM:

    • 124gr @ 1150-1200 fps
    • M1152 115gr @1320 fps

The147gr 9x19MM was initially developed for the MP5 (1 in 10  twist 10.5" barrel 1100 fps ), the transition to handguns was a byproduct of Mil/LE use in the MP5.

all that adds up to the 135PF and above for 124gr & 147gr... the 115gr and 130gr seem to ride the 130-132 PF better. I think that has to do with the baring surface and center of gyroscopic stability in most of those bullets.

Big need for Load development and testing in your barrels

  8. For factory loads most 115gr & 124gr loads vary a lot.. bulk 9mm is loaded to stay in a presser window for lot acceptance, not hit a consistent velocity.  Exceptions are the USPSA certifed loads unfortunately the FEDERAL syntec 150gr has had velocity issues and is inconsistent for accuracy In SIG barrels.. I have had good results with the 130gr (PCC ) load targeted @1180fps in PCC barrels but hits 1015-1025fps in my AXG's..

  9. Both are built on custom shop FCU's

    Common parts:

    • Armory Craft Guide rod 12lb spring installed
    • LOK palm swell G10 Camo
    • Glock Store Max M trigger spring kit ( 2.7lb on hanging weights @ install)
    • DPP 6 MOA ( pulled the SRO last night MY natural point of aim and index on the draw is better with the DPP)

    Black Gun:

    • Black Nitride slide
    • Black Anodized AXG grip kit ( no grips supplied)
    • Faxon Flame Fluted Chameleon PVD Barrel
    • Armory Craft Trigger Gold Titanium Nitride

    FDE Gun:

    • FDE Clearcoat slide
    • Tan Anodized AXG grip kit ( no grips supplied)
    • SIG Gold Titanium Nitride Barrel
    • Armory Craft Trigger Black Nitride

So far not a huge difference in  accuracy with the 2 barrels with 2 different loads

    • 115gr Montana Gould JHP's 5.3gr N340 ( had 4 K that I need to burn up)
    • 115gr Blue Bullets 5.1gr N340 ( had 250 that I need to burn up)

I think the Faxon was a tad tighter with 130gr fed Syntec

    • My AXG pro'sare more aracute than my X5 Ligion ever was (A Barsto barrel helped some)
    • DH3 has the Medium TXG grip modual the same as the X5 Ligion / Max = LARGER overall grip than the AXG
    • You would need to source a stand alone SMALL TXG grip modual and it wont be :
    1.   Tan ( to match the DH3 Upper)
    2.   Coted with   silicon carbide

I prefer the light slides on my AXG's over the  X5 Ligion I had.

But that is a pointless exercise and wast of time... If your already calisifed in anything else you gitng an automatic 1 class below your highest class no mater what % the LO clasifers reflect...

The corect wayto do a provisional division is to start the classifer base @zero and not assine any clasifacations until some acatual data is shot.... but eaven that is pointless with the 1 class below rule still in place...

If they can do new hhf every three weeks for this I hope they intend to do that for everything else too.

  12.

I will expect that initially you will see a lot of CO just adding the Mag well, Thumb rest and Racker ( 1,2  or all). As things progress this will be a vary raced out 2011 division with:

    ·         Lightened slides

    ·         Hybrid barrels

    ·         Back Bored Sight blocks

A 9mm 2011 using all the Limited tricks from the last 25ish years is a different animal to the current CO guns, yes I had 3 9mm 2011’s at one point:

    ·         5” LWD = practice / 3Gun

    ·         6” Short Light Rail = practice / 3Gun

    ·         4.15” Short Light Rail = IDPA ESP / Carry

If I could have seen LO coming I would have Kept all 3 when the eyesight went bad in 2014ish and made dots the only way forward for me.

Maybe by a technical name, but I was shooting IPSC in 1982 and I know what we Was doing. You Either had a compensated 1911, or you had an uncomplicated 1911With a 175 power factor Plain and simple

Yes... every thing was heads up no divisions just USPSA until 1991/92 with the provisional Limited Division
