What firing pin brand are you guys running that you have had the most luck with not breaking? I’m at the JP PCC championship and had my taccom firing pin break on the very first stage. Got a big fat zero for that one. Anybody try the Wilson bulletproof firing pins?

I have had zero feeding issues from my spikes, colt lower.
-
Salomon speedcross 3 for sure

I prefer it closer to my eye for a wider field of view. I’m using an RMR so it’s a small window to begin with

Taccom firing pin. It’s the only one I haven’t broken.

I am running a trijicon RMR on an American Defense QD mount. I run it close to my eye (4th slot from the back) for a larger field of view.

I chamfer the bottom and top edge of the follower. It doesn’t take much. Otherwise it may get hung up either loading or when you are firing it.

Has anyone had a problem with infinity mags. I shot a match this weekend and and was using new mags my the 140mm mag I was using had rounds get jammed up beside one another and when I was loading it on the 10th round it you could shake it and the round was rattling in the mag I tried hitting the bottom of the mag with my hand to get the rounds to lay right but nothing I did worked has anyone had this problem . The only part of the mag that is not infinity is the TTI base pad.
The only mag I had function 100% all day was the new style sti mag
Mic it with calipers. You may have to give it a squeeze in a vice.

Something wrong with your rts2's. I have 4 and they last months.
Mine as well. I have had mine for 3 months and hadn’t noticed any dimming. On the 4th month, on a bright sunny day, I noticed it just a little. Changed it out and have been running with it an additional 3 months now.

I have soaked overnight in Kroil and used a dental pick. Always works well for me. It is a bit time consuming though.

I've had trouble with "smoking" in the humid summers of VA or FL.
Hmmm...haven’t tried them in the humid summer yet. I mostly shoot jacketed bullets but sometimes I cheapen it up a bit. Lol

I tried Kroll and didn't have much luck...
Did you soak it overnight or something?
Yes, I soak it in a little container. It’s not a breeze but easier than anything else I’ve tried.

How is smoking with the coated bullets?
The smoking for me is only a big deal if shooting indoors.

Kroil and a pic work well for me

Supercomp for more reliable feeding

I mostly use Winchester small pistol but also CCI small pistol when I can. Winchester seems to always be plentiful in my area.
-
I have used autocomp in my pcc and I like it a lot. I use way under what the book minimum load is for each bullet weight out of my 16” Barrel. It hasn’t been dirty as some say.

SV will make you a blank hybrid rib barrel but they don't stock them. They say allow 6 weeks,
but I got mine in 5 weeks.
The rib goes almost to the locking lug. Not sure if that's a 4 port.
Almost to the locking lug would be a 5 port.

I have had this problem due to carbon buildup making the plunger stick in.

Crimson trace green. Very useful on weak side shots

Surprised you haven't been breaking more firing pins, like one every 1k rounds or so. Let me know if you have no issues with firing pin as the hammer force is excessive at least on the one I tested yesterday. It makes my hiprefire hammer fall feel like a gnat where the CMC is like thor's hammer.
You jinxed me. Broke a pin on my new gun in 40 rounds.

A clean mag is a happy mag. Lol

This. My gun actually came with an ETS magazine as the factory magazine so I bought a bunch more of them and the only problem that I've ever had with any of them has been when I've been messing around with extensions and different Springs.
I’ve found the MBX extensions and springs to work great with the ETS mags. You have to taper the follower per MBX’s inatructions but they haven’t failed me yet. I do clean the mags and lube them with dry silicone.

That’s definitely a recommendation for rifle calibers. Your 9mm Barrel should last many times that amount.
Stupid Firing Pins!!

Yeah, like the JP PCC championship. Lol. Oh well. It really sucks that they break so much. They always look like some kind of cheap pot metal or something where they are broken. Kind of like a powdered metal.
