  1. After switching to an 18lb hammer spring, the 22 conversion is now super reliable. It will do bill drills all day without hiccup. Now if only the 22lr primers would be that consistent. On an SA Match, the higher spring weight isn't an issue.
    Thanks Nealio

  2. FYI, I just heard back from David at CGW about my request for a Tanfoglio specific disco, and this was his response:

"This will take some months, I do not currently know or have the exact dimensions we need."

I guess Tanfo disco's are not a big enough market. I told him that the only thing needed was a larger hole.

They could actually use a much larger hole and provide a bushing to allow use on CZ and Tanfo. Would not have to make different versions.

  3. i spoke to CGW and asked that they produce a model with a pin hole on .105 . Nothing else needs to be done. If they want to make a drop-in for the OEM 2 piece sear, then they would have to thin the wing. For the one pice sear, no other mods required.

  4. Here you go: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=194198&hl=

This install is for Stock 3 with OEM sear. If running in SA, I don't think its necessary to swap out the oem sear.

I spoke to CGW before ordering the parts, told him what it was for and was given advice on opening the pin hole in the sear.

Adam's use of the diamond dremel bit is the best method I've used thus far.

The job takes about 40min [second time around], if you do not have to fit a new sear to the safety.

Wish I had video capability to demonstrate how simple it really is.

  5. I fired the type 3 into the stock 2 with Titan hammer and one pice sear. Pre-travel dropped by 50%. You do not need to reduce the face of the "wing". Just remove about 0.01 from to bottom, to thin the wing. Also break the sharp lower edge of the wing face.

I also installed same disco into Stock 3 with OEM sear - same improvement

in all honesty, the 13lb hammer spring, new disco, extended firing pin and polished internals make the hammer unneccessary.

Will try an even lighter hammer spring to get the Titan to do its job.

  6. Current OAL 1.135. Wen up to 1.20 without problems. Current powder does not n the extra length. Was trying to get the bullet to be close to rifling but ran out of mag room. Tanfoglio has a very deep 10mm chamber, in my 40 Stock 3.
Thus far, 7k rounds, 4 mags, no problems. You will want to put a slight bevel on the bottom of the follower, to let it slide by the dimples on the way down.
The dimples act as guides the keep the follower aligned to the front.

  7. I believe CZ Custom shop uses CGW disco's and other parts - Tanfoglio does not [at least not openly].

Have not checked in the last year but, a year ago Henning's pin was not production legal - as per Henning. Eric's is legal. Eric is Tanfoglio at this time, Henning is not.

The LDA parts site explicitly states that Eric's pin is "legal for production" - as of last week. I have Henning's pin in my Match also [sC gun].

I would love to use my CGW diso in production - spent much effort to fit it to my stock 3. The CGW one piece sear I use in my Match is tuned for almost zero pre-travel of the Henning trigger, but it is not legal either.

CGW told me that these parts would be disallowed for use in a production Tanfoglio.

Hope that you have better info and that the gods of USPSA give you a different answer than I got.

I've never seen a disco inspection at a match so this may not have any practical impact.
