Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Hey guys, just got another question on this topic so I hope I'm not hijacking the original post. O brought a set of 13, 14, and 15 pound hammer springs from wolf and an Eric grauffel firing pin, the concern I have is that the length of the springs. Out of the three the 13 is the longest with the 15 the next longest and lastly the 14 the shortest. Is this correct or have wolf mixed them up putting them in the packaging?
  2. Thanks Bowenbuilt, there is defiantly no gas escaping from the primer side so I guess it could be sparklers as you've described. It just seemed odd that its never happened with other brand primers. The powder I'm using, AP70n is equivalent to hodgdon universal.
  3. Other than the flash from the top I can't see any other obvious signs. Is there anything in perticular that I should look for?
  4. On a lighter note, did anyone visit or shoot at the cup? Wondering how my fellow Aussies competed?
  5. Hey shel6977, I did notice that they were a lot easier to seat than the win or Feds that I've used. I haven't tried the cci's yet but will try to give them a go tomorrow.
  6. Ok guys ... Call me computer illiterate but how do I add a pic lol. I'm only using my phone and can't seem to find a way to copy and paste.?
  7. Hey thanks guys for the prompt replys.. I must apologise for the early morning post... Wasn't considering the time difference. I haven't noticed any pressure issues, but I'm no expert. The older guys at my local range did seem surprised but could offer no explanation. I'll post a pic of a couple I shot off today and you guys may be able to see something I can't. Accuracy didn't seem to be affected and I didn't have a chrono to verify fps difference. As for 1 1/2s compared to 5 1/2s I thought the only difference was cup thickness?
  8. Hey guys and gals, greetings from down under. I'm a first timer here so please go lightly lol. I have been reloading for my 9mm and .38 super for a few years now using wsp primers without any issues but now I can't get hold of any. I was able to get 5000 remmington 5 1/2s so I thaught I'd give them a go. The problem I'm now having is that when they go off (every time) I'm getting a flash from the chamber. There doesn't seem to be any pressure issues but its rather distracting. Has anyone else had this issue or know why it happens? I'm running 4.6gn AP70n behind a 122gn lead projectile in the super and 3.5gn in the 9mm. Any help / advice would be appreciated. Cheers.
