I have an STI Edge which is currently blued and I would like to refinsh the gun, so far I am torn between stripping the blueing and just polishing the gun to a bright finish or buying some of the Brownells Teflon/Moly Oven cure paint and painting it S/S Grey. I have used the Brownells before and it has turned out great. Any thoughts would great.

I just picked up an full size STI Competitor in 38SC with a 4 port comp and 4 hybrid ports. What would be the best load (i.e.-low pressure but still make major) for this gun? I am using 124gr round nose Rainer bullets with Starline 38SC brass. Thanks

I just want to give some thanks to Ralph Sotelo for his excellent 2# drop in trigger kit I just picked up from him. I am looking to buy some mags for my new open gun and I can't decide between 140mm with the extended Dawson basepad or 170mm mags. The 170mm mags are still very expensive and I have been told that you can squeeze 28 rounds out of a 140mm mags with a basepad extension.

I just bought a STI Edge in 40 S&W and have now decided after shooting a few matches that I want to convert it into an open class 9mm Major or 38SC. What parts would I need to consider to do this? I realize that I need a new barrel with a comp, a new extractor and a lighter recoil spring, is there anything I am missing? TIA

I am about to buy an open gun and I can't decide between 9mm Major or 38 Super. I had a 9X21.5 TSW in the past and really liked it but that wasn't on the 1911 platform (in which I am getting the new open gun in). Any suggestions and/or pros/cons would be greatly appreciated. TIA
