  1. I have run a Burris Fast Fire 2, Fast Fire 3, and 2 Doctors Optics. I have not had any issues with any of them. I do however much prefer the Doctor Optic, however I have heard such good things about Burris and their warranty that when I recently put a dot on my carry optics gun I went with the Fast Fire 3, for price and the simple fact anyone I have talked to that has had a problem with the Fast fire, Burris has simply sent them a new one no questions asked. I feel the Doctor is a slightly better optic but I have heard their warranty is not quite as easy as a process. To me the Delta Point was a little to expensive when if I do have any issues Burris has historically been great about sending out new ones. That was my rationale anyways.

  2. Question for all you gurus out there. I currently have a Tanfoglio Limited. I also have a Hunter .45 acp slide that works great on it. I have been pondering the possibilities of getting a 40 slide/top end setup for it as well. My question is I could I just buy a 40 barrel and put that in my hunter slide? Maybe change the extractor. Are the slides the same or different? Looking at the costs the EAA wants for a conversion I am just pondering cheaper alternatives to getting a 40 blaster. At current conversion prices it seems one would be better off getting a whole gun. Well thanks for the info!!

  3. I have a limited with EG Grips and currently have the Long length Henning trigger installed. For me it is great. I would not want the medium. I have fairly large hands. In work gloves I wear a size Large, that usually have to break in to be comfortable. If your familiar with medical gloves I wear a 8 or 8.5 in sterile gloves. Not sure if that helps.

  4. Well that sucks for al you guys. My friend recently just got into Tanfoglio's. He has bought 2 Limited in .40 cal. Sunday he was asking me where to pick up a 9 mm conversion for matches not needing major. I too saw the Long Slide Wonder Finish Price and told him that was a very good deal and he should jump on it while he can. He ordered it Sunday. Unlike you guys they did ship his order. He received it today. But they still screwed the order up. They sent him a .9mm Long Slide Conversion but blued instead of in the wonder finish. I figured they had realized their pricing mistake and sent him the blue instead since it was cheaper. Sorry to hear you all did not get the same.

  5. I am not sure I would say it cleanly lock into place when you re-holster. I have watched the DAA videos where with the magnetic you can clearly hear it clicking into place mine does not do that however it does lock. Maybe it just needs a bit of fitting. I just worry I might take to much off. I might just buy the Boss setup and try it out. Worst case it only wont work with my hunter buy I mostly shoot my Limited anyways. Decisions to be made now.

  6. Hey guys i just got a race master with the magnetic block for my Tanfoglio limited. But I am just not sure it is for me. I find myself constantly worrying about whether the gun is locked in or not. I feel like I would be happier with a standard kydex style holster. I am considering the Boss holster setup from Ben Stoger Pro shop but my predicament is I also have a Hunter 6 inch slide I run on my Limited frame. Does anyone know if a limited kydex holster will fit the Hunter longer slide?

I know in the past I had a 6 inch Para that fit in a standard kydex 1911 holster was just pondering if any of you have tried it on the hunter thanks for you input.

  7. Question for all you Tanfoglio experts out there. While recently installing my Henning flat trigger. I lost the roll pin that goes threw the right handed safety on my Limited. I had a match the very next day, so I used an SAE sized roll pin I had in a roll kit, It went in very very tight, and I am sure getting it out is going to be a real pain.... Anyways does anyone know the size of the factory roll pin and the best source for them? Any info is always appreciated. Thanks you guys in advance.

  8. Oh OK I appreciate the response. Henning called me the other day before he shipped my order to me to ensure I did indeed want the long length trigger. (Definitely no better customer service!) I asked to just confirm that the magwell was silver. I thought he said he left them unfinished, he mentioned I could get it anodized any color I want. But to be honest I was at work when I was talking to him and I am fairly heard of hearing so it very likely that I just misheard some of the conversation.

In another note, what an improvement over the factory!. Now I just need to install my new trigger.

  9. Well guys I am excited, I just received in the mail today a Henning long length trigger and a competition magwell for my Elite Limited. Looking at the magwell it appears to be unfinished aluminum. My question is what finish or protectant substance are you guys putting on them if anything at all?

    Thanks for any replies

  10. Congrats on the new pistol. I am sure you will love it. I too recently got an Limtied in 9mm, and I also have a hunter .45 slide that goes on the frame. The only thing I would add to what Atlas said. Is to think about buying the 140 mm pads from Henning vs the IPSC pads, because if you ever decide to get another Tangfoglio you can use the extensions on any other large frame magazine and they are easy to swap. Also I have both the 140 mm extended and the IPSC standard and with the mag well I really prefer the extra bit of lenght the extended 140 mm stick out in the mag well for magazine changes. Either way however you can not go wrong. Great gun and fun with it.

  11. Pretty much agreeing with what everyone else has said. I shoot a HK USP Elite quite a bit in Limited 10. Until I realized that the HK's are designed to have the mag dropped with the trigger finger I too struggled. Another thing however that helped with mine was I added the mag release that comes on the HK 45. It was longer than the ones on the USP platforms and it a drop in part. I am not sure what mag release the VP9 has on it. But to be honest as much as I love HK and it’s not going anywhere, they do not make the best competition platforms simply for the lack of aftermarket support. I will fully argue that comparing it to a M&P is a travesty. I have already owned and sold a M&P Pro 9mm, apex parts etc... Tried so hard to like the pistol, but the quality of it is nowhere near an HK. Just my two cents..... I either way shoot what you like and have fun!
