  1. Same thing happened to me a few years ago as the shooter, I paused and told the RO that he was in my way and hendering my movements as I tried to make my way around him safely. This made him aware that he interfered with me, I did not sweep him, and I didn't stop myself either. You should not stop yourself at any time unless it's a safety issue and even then you can mitigate most of those as you are in control of the firearm. I was given a reshoot without question. As a CRO, I understand what we should do and I have never been trapped but I have interfered.

  2. Hey Tom, I don't think the DAA will work. With that holster, the bottom of the gun frame or rail area rests on the block. With that rail mount, it would push the pistol forward about 1/4 inch thus not allowing the trigger guard to lock in. I have the blocks for the STI, Glock, and N frame and all sit the same way in the block area. Saul at DAA could tell you right off and he responds quickly. When I was doing research for an XDm Open holster, it seemed the consensus was to go with a WSM but that was a while back. I will contact Saul and ask to make sure. Also, I agree with the above statement about the WSM was not very secure.

  3. He will be scored minor in everything but Open.

How do you figure? Unless he runs 9MAJOR in that gun he will still be scored minor.

Not that I'm speaking for him but I'm pretty sure that's what he meant...he has the option to run either in Open, no other division.

  4. Yeah, I have a several cases through mine and no tumbling, holding MOA groups or better at 100 or so. I don't shoot them past 200 but my other ammo is shot out to 350 and no tumbling/problems with groups there either. I think the round count would have to be much higher than 4K before damage can be seen/realized.

  5. Great information, thanks!

Question, on the Rolling Thunder, did you tune it in any way? Benny's instructions are to have a side hole drilled (right side if you are right handed) and shot/tuned until it sits flat as you shoot it. If that didn't happen, I'm sure the simulation will not account for it and will skew the outcome. I know there is a variance there but it really makes a big difference with that comp and having it tuned.

Any way, great work and thanks for sharing with the community!

  6. I have the large DAA bag and mine is starting to do the same. However, I feel it is mostly my fault. I have my fully loaded (at least 40+ lbs) and I toss it around quite a bit along with travel to Area and Nationals, its a wonder it hasn't fallen apart yet. It sags a little but it should with the way I use it. DAA always stands behind their products and I know this first hand. I haven't contacted Saul since this one is on me. This bag has really taken a beating and is still going strong except for a lil sagging.
