Happened to me. Took over a week to get a confirmation with no explaination. Then got this dreaded "submitted" for days. Tim is great to deal with and the store has a ton of stuff but this has got to get better.

That's hilarious! That guy's facial expression at the end is so funny. Back to the topic, this is a great idea and I am glad it's being vetted for match use. There are several times I could have used these in matches to help with shorten bays (when half of the bay is full of water) or to keep full target impacts from striking the ground or getting too close to the top of the berm. HS6 burns better at the upper end of the scale. I have had some 6.0 to 6.5 loads that did well in most aspects (accuracy, reliability, consistency) but was still dirty. It does burn cleaner when you push it into the 8 to 9 range but do NOT do this unless you are shooting the right gun and are working up slowly watching for pressure signs. It is one of the most highly coveted 9Major powders so it would be nice to trade it to an Open shooter (like me )with a more suitable 9mm minor powder. I have tried 8 different powders for 9Major and HS6 is my favorite. Also, do not go by burn charts and try to use the same loads as "similar" powders, that will get you in trouble. The A4 Director announced all of the above (with exception of the members resignation) via direct email last week. If your AD didnt disburse the info to his Area membership, then complain directly to them...and vote them out of office. Are you saying all the ADs got an email about this situation? Are you sure about it? No thats not what I'm saying at all. I said that the A4D sent an email about it to inform the Area 4 members. Any AD that didnt do something similar, failed in their duties. Ok, if the A4D announced it, where did he get the info from? Was he going off of hearsay at the time or did he receive an official correspondence from within the organization? I just want to know how much was given to the ADs (mainly the A6D) and how much was put out before I start complaining to him. Thanks

It's plain to see that HQ is inept in the communications with membership department. They don't answer emails. They don't even acknowledge a lot of scandalous happenings. They don't even seem to realize they should be telling us what is going on. It's almost a scandal in itself. Do you mean the BoD/President communications or the whole office in general? I would have to say the latter is extremely efficient and knowledgeable when it comes to requests from members and general communication. I have had everything from a multitude of applications submitted, changes of address put in, requests for score updates, to even requesting old periodicals and I have always had first rate service. They work very hard and have always come through. However, I do feel that the former has let us down when it comes to membership communication.

Nope, new or seasoned, they get the same warnings or actions from me, thats consistency and safe. Again, we are doing a disservice to the shooter and our sport if we are not trying to prevent this type of safety infraction, if possible.

You should follow the rulebook before and after the beep. You can and should give safety instruction/guidance any time you see a safety infraction about to happen. That was my original point. If they walk up to you and you see it, that is pretty cut and dry. However for other situations, if we are doing our job, then a lot of violations can be prevented, right?

Yes, that horse is way dead. I just hope that all of you would at least be the kind of RO that looks to prevent these safety issues rather than watch a slow train wreck then issue the DQ.

Practiscore is the answer if you want all of that. It can do everything and the guys running it are great to deal with. Like Euxx said, just email them to set it up and then everything else is pretty simple. Read through all the info on the Practiscore site and you should be pretty good. Ideally you would stop the shooter before they get the gun in the holster, but once it's in there, it is a DQ. The "consequences" are potentially life threatening, so they don't get a free pass. +1. However, playing devils advocate, if it is in the holster already, its not unsafe at that point since the trigger guard is covered. I would do everything possible to prevent this from happening to a new shooter at a local match. Unfortunately, I have DQed two infractions such as this at Area matches.

The last one has a few things to think about. The first one is what if someone shoots one of the three NS targets and there is a hit on the target, how are you going to determine if it was a shoot through (shot count is not always accurate). Second, on the three poppers, since there is a fault line and shooters might go over, it has to be 26` to the popper. Also, even if you say that the poppers can't be engaged from the front boxes, some will on accident and be DQ'ed. Its better to make them 26' from any shooting area. Good design but a few small tweaks needed.

Yes lets get real. I have had more guns pointed at me by new shooters fumbling at matches than I have ever had in stressful (physically and mentally) LEO training. Maybe so but those civilians don't depend on their firearms to save their lives and others...I expect more from our trained LEO/MIL. I was both and I hold myself to a higher standard due to my responsibilities. But to say we are all poor incompetent shooters as gixxerjunky states is a flat out lie. I didn't take his comment as such and it's his opinion...so what. Furthermore, if I started ranting and raving every time someone called me something bad or insulted me, I would have never made it out of Field Training. We have to be above the foolish comments and take them with a grain of salt but analyze the ones that have some truth to see where we can improve. I'm sure you saw the video of the Maine State Trooper who stopped the irate person back in 1992 - every police officer has seen it I'm sure. That's the kind of patience and restraint we must show towards insults and find a constructive way to respond. I do have a lot of respect for you and especially for the amount of rifle knowledge you have and share with us. Thanks for that! I also hope that T&N (those guys are awesome!!) gets this going - it would be nice to see.

Come on PoPo, let's be real here, there are many LEO who are very average or poor shooters. I hate to admit it but it is the truth. I was a firearms instructor/FTO for years and I was dumbfounded to see that so many of my LEO brothers and sisters did not take their firearms skills and training serious. There were a few great shooters and some horrible shooters but a ton in the middle that just wanted to get their quals over with. On top of that, the qual course was usually the last time they shot or cleaned their sidearm until the next mandatory shoot. I even had an officer tell me she didn't like guns - I couldn't believe it! Anyway, don't be so harsh, most things on here are just opinion but there is a lot of truth also. I think LEO matches would be great - it levels the playing field somewhat and would help spark some interest to go out with others using their duty gear. That should be Sketch Up. Cool stage. A few things: 1) be careful with barrels that close, might have shoot through issues, 2) watch the barrel tunnel -easy to shoot around, specify x targets that must be engaged or something like that, 3) did you share this in the warehouse?

I have been doing this for years. I use the MG 95 JHP over my normal Open load and it is nice. I also have a good sub-minor load using N320 that is great for SCSA.
