  1. I have a Versa Comp Tactical and with the +2 cap, 10 round tube, my OEM spring seems VERY weak. Im no shotgun wizard but seemed very poor for the last shell. I replaced it with a Nordic cut bout 12" past the end of the cap if it were in place, seems better but a bit harder to load. Not sure Im answering your question, but I guess you should prob get someone more experienced to load it and see what they think.

  2. Put together a quick video from this past weekend at Universal Shooting Academy. This was a great match with awesome stages, yes that's a bus we are shooting from... Feel free to give me some critique on anything I could improve in, shotgun loading for sure. I was happy to avoid any real disasters, something that has plagued my last few matches.

  3. How do you get the the spring? I never took the stock off my VM yet. If I want to clean mine now or replace it since I got 2 seasons on it. How does it come apart. Who sells the Wolff spring?

It's super easy. Take recoil pad off, two screws. Need long handle hex wrench, pull off hex bolt which holds on the stock and stock adjustment plate. Spring tube unscrews from receiver. Spring tube has threaded cap holding spring in tube.

    Bought mine from Wolff website.

  4. Got the extra power wolf Benelli spring and installed. No issue getting the nut off the tube and spring inside was relatively clean , not anywhere close dirty enough to causing the malfunction, I think. Was getting lifter issues about every 10-20 rounds and shot ~75 at match with no issues. Seems fixed.

  5. 1:9 16 inch. Varget just because that's what I could find and seems to do well with heavier bullets. No 77 because of twist rate and had great results with Federal gold medal 69 SMK. Also don't want to go any lower on velocity.

  6. Relatively new to reloading, about 500 rds done in the past year. Trying to workup a new load for 223 with Varget and 69 grain SMK. Shot today with 23.5, 24, 24.5, 25, and 25.3. Best group was with 25 gr at 0.84" at 100 yards. I have a few questions, the more I read the less I understand.

    1. Is the lateral string in this group indicative of anything? Shooter, load, rifle etc...?

    2. I sat the bullets at the book recommended 2.235". I checked the COAL on the rifle with the hornady gauge and I have a lot of room to go up. Yes I need to use magazines. How should I start to increase COAL? Should I start with the powder charge that worked best, or will that invalidate the results I found at the previous COAL?
