Been having some of these lately, 5 instances over 1500 rounds. Happens when clean or dirty. All rounds case gauged, 9mm makes minor PF, 7lb recoil spring. Anyone have any theories as to what is causing this problem?

Had the same problem with the VersaMax Competition. Inside was cerkoted and dragging the rim of the shell like that, tried all the fixes as well. Finally fixed it when I replaced the carrier dog spring with a benelli spring and polished the inside down to the metal and took off all he cerakote finish.

You'll hav bro excuse my ignorance. Is that similar to these or more like the finish on a standard bolt? Have you done any mags, wondering how slick the finish is?

Anybody on the forum do Xylan or black nitride coating? If not, who do you recomm me? Need to do a muzzle brake and 3 STI magazine bodies. Thanks

Took care of my versa max today. Slugs were a foot high at 70 yards, now dead on. Wacked that sucker over a railroad tie.

What bullets are you using for 9mm?

OK, been loading match 223 for awhile now and looking to get into hoser 223 and 9mm. Only want to pay the Hazmat once, so want to make sure I get this right. I have no experience with these, just seemed to be the consensus for what Im doing. Please let me know what you think.
AR w/RCA lightweight BCG and AR Gold trigger, for hoser 223 going to run 55gr ~2600fps out of 16" barrel: Ramshot TAC and CCI #41 primers
Glock 34 9mm w/ lightweight striker: Titegroup and Winchester small pistol primers

My versa max has the same issue, haven't figured it out

Have ran freedom reman through it, no problems with the JP springs. Never ran JP PCC but recoil is significantly less in MPX than other blowback AR 9MM.

Replaced the trigger springs in my MPX with the light version from JP, noticeably lighter pull

I just received the Brownells shim stock today.
From what I can tell from one of the sheets, it is not stainless steel.
It comes from Precision Brand . com and according to their spec sheet it is Low Carbon Steel C1008/C1010. Not being a materials engineer that doesn't mean much to me.
Wished I would have known about the Enco shims before I bought from Brownells, looks like you get more for your money.
I am using the steel shims on a test barrel on a test rig and learning along the way.
Looks like the Enco shims for $20 are not stainless either.
oops, just went back, yeah not stainless. I searched for stainless and I guess didn't pay attention to the details. Time to try to cancel....

Never dealt with shims, seems like around a $50 expenditure, you all have any tips on where to find it? My barrel is 0.998 and receiver is 1.000.

Just wanted to leave a positive review for Shannon down at Universal Shooting Academy. Just took a one day private course and I was blown away at the level of detail and personalized instruction. He had drills to match my level of experience and deficiencies, very down to earth but not shy from letting me know what was up. This was a great experience, I only wish I took it sooner and will be looking to repeat sometime next year.

Sig is running ~$1500, thats JP territory from what Ive seen. Does anyone know if PSA will be selling the bare lower, just seen the assembled lower and by the time you replace the trigger and build with decent parts not sure you are saving that much $.

Go with whatever seems right. For me weak hand roll over is much more natural, load every other gun weak handed.
