  1. As others have said I mix my own up 99% alcohol and the pure lanolin. Now if I can just find an emulsifier that will work to keep the mix together longer.

Hmm, I too use +99% alcohol and pure liquid lanolin, I get no noticeable seperation if my bottle sits for long periods.

Even the Dillon says to shake before use, on the bottle. I have just used my home made stuff again after about a month and there isn't as much separation as when I first made it. It must continue to dissolve in the alcohol with time.

  2. As others have said I mix my own up 99% alcohol and the pure lanolin. Now if I can just find an emulsifier that will work to keep the mix together longer. Only one place had it and they were talking one of those pallet tainer jugs! The use of any lower % alcohol which has more water in it, makes the lube take longer to dry.

Have to say Amazon the above is what I have bought, and put it an industrial trigger spray bottle. With the prime membership 2 day shipping.

    The mix works well.

  3. It was obvious, that the OP was by the owner or employee of the company producing the the item. I was interested in if any have had first hand experience with the unit. From the answers it is a no, I have a WFT and the FA platinum center and happy with both. But was interested in the tri-trimmer part of it. I too can't see paying all that money when there are less expensive versions on the market.

  4. Great Idea on the garage door screens. Have to check when they go on sale or with the inside club and pick up a couple sets. I have been just shooting open on the second floor of the shop. With the attending plastic BB's going all over the place when the box doesn't catch them.

I was thinking of PVC water pipe frame and traps a stop curtains. Short ones on the top and about 2 foot up from the floor, and along the sides. I will be keeping this in mind.

    Thanks for posting.

  5. For those in/around Macomb County Mi, Brown Bear sporting goods and range is getting some in.

latest order to hit the shelf as of Thursday, at least two of the tight group were gone.

Somebody on another forum picked them up.

    IMG_2069.jpg

They had 8 pounders of CFE, this photo was 2 weeks ago there was about half of it still there Wednesday.

    They don't ship

The local gun show last weekend had plenty of boxed ammo, one vendors has had a lot of bricks of 22LR's and they were down to $90.00 for 2 bricks of 555's or any brand over 500pcs or $47.00 each.

They have closed the one in Taylor, http://www.gibraltartrade.com/combined.php here is the show list for next year.

  6. The dealer may not understand the rules dealing with hazmat fees any more than the customers. Years ago when I was doing FX's for clowns and magicians and shows. A lot of people didn't get the reasoning behind them. I lost some customers because I wouldn't just throw it in a box and ship it. If the seller sticks the hazmat paperwork work to the box they will be charged for the fees by the shipping company. Since they don't know what is in the box!

  7. Looking for a good source to maybe pick up some airsoft stuff from. Preferably one that is in the US so Im not ordering stuff from Hong Kong.

    Thanks.

For pellets, co2 cylinders, magazine loaders check out Meijers, wally world, Dicks sporting goods has a limited selection of co2/GBB pistols. Same for Dunhams some of which is in the bike section of the store, some in the firearms section. Gander Mtn has some stuff too. Amazon has lots of things for airsoft. I get my guns from a local in Roseville Mi. store, http://www.commandosairsoftguns.com/newarrivals.html for hands on Lots of guns and stuff. I have been to a couple of on line stores but haven't bought any thing yet other than off Amazon.

I got the KWA ATP glock clone

  8. I just bought an KWA ATP (Adaptive Training Pistol = Glock-like without the lawsuits) that uses propane or green gas. This morning so far it is great, I bought it at a local shop that deals in them. Using the green gas Make sure when you load the magazine that the pellets are in the proper staggered order. or they can jam. Also make sure you release the mag spring so it will feed the BB's

I can say that it works very well out of the box, other than me doing stuff that caused my problems. http://kwausa.com/

Now just having to make a target frame and BB catcher I'm using 2'x3' targets at about 20 feet. Have to clear a hole in the 2nd floor storage over the garage for another ten feet or so.

I have to say that I like it the weight and feel is almost spot on. I was in Dick's sporting goods and they had a co2 1911 style on sale so I bought that one too other than needing the cartridges it is a nice gun and shots well. Ignite-blackops is the name of the maker here is the website

  9. All most all regular user do mention that some plastic mold flash removing around the lip of the hole to the tube with either an Exacto knife style #11 or a very light touch with a dremel on a slower speed helps make the unit work smoother. I have only looked at mine so far, as life seems to be getting in the way again. It will need a light smoothing of the lip/edge.

But as with anything that is molded of plastic. Some clean up may be necessary to get it to work smoothly.

  10. Seems like the one profitable category after you pay off your equipment is precision rifle brass.

You are probably right! But then you get into the fanatical benchrest people, tend to want to do their own each and every step. Like they say about the people at the comedy club @ night Don't quit your day job so you can eat on a regular basis.:roflol::cheers:

  11. I have a decent learning curve in business exp but no personal exp besides the company I work her. We're a small company and I'm close with the owner and he's the one helping me through this. Yes it does suck because u have to have a commercial address and limitations of how much u can store at a time. I'm gonna start with just getting a ffl. As well as insurance is a a_-hole.

The only other bit of advise that a guy from the SBA as a local mentor gave me, about 40 years ago when I started my first sideline was always remember three things.

    1. Have a set amount of money put aside for the business that you can afford to loose, No loans from bank, family or loan shark!

2.Don't spend the rent, grocery, mortgage, or any payments on the business ever, faster way to go down the drain! As something always comes up and you can't make the payback.

3.Do the tax thing, as the benefits are there for deductions etc. A lot of the people that say don't do it (taxes), have never done it or have any idea about it.

As the underground cash economy can get you jammed up if you have a ex-freind or family member turn you in, to the IRS for the reward etc. And they do some times for the silly slight!

  12. Basically there's like a hundred people telling me not to do this because the market is so saturated with people who get it for free is that it's hard to make a profit because there's actually people selling it for lower than scrap value cost. So the ammunition market is looking a little bit better besides the high cost to run the business

Not so much telling you not to get in to it. But more so that you have to understand the market forces that will be at work for and against you. Not to insult you, but we have know knowledge of of your biz experience. The feds allow a biz to have 3 years out of 5 of taking a loss on the income tax.

There are things that you have to take into considerations such as your start up costs for equipment, space, supplies, utilities the day to day operating costs and a 100 other things.

Then add in the fact that you can't take a profit out of the biz for a couple years. This is were the average person that starts a bi and then try's to live off the money coming in while still running the biz gets into trouble.

If you have zero to minimum experience with business here is the must read site.http://www.sba.gov/ The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) From soup to nuts the starting and managing sections are a must read before starting.

  13. You should check out the section of this forum that has the non dealer brass sales and dealer brass sales. The non dealer will be good for the repeat sellers that have a lot of brass for sale listed. Also check the older posting to see what has sold and what hasn't.

I have bought a lot of brass from there, I do process range pick up brass myself.

Check this place out for what they are offering prepped or not.http://300aacbrass.com/9mm_luger_once_fired_brass/9mm_luger_once_fired_tumbled_brass_for_reloading Be aware that they do offer discounts 10% Coupon use code: ACrowe25

They are in Vegas, I purchased 5.56/.223 from them prepped and it is all they advertize that it is.

I have no connection with them other than a satisfied customer.

  14. I have been using a 30 cal plastic ammo box for a range box with the roll of duc tape and electronic muffs hanging off the handle, due to the small size. I was using the duc tape to go across the top were it mounts to the overhead hangers, of the traveler. For what ever reason mine always seems to tear the target after a 30/50 shots, and not near the edge. So I have switched to the cardboard targets, I posted in another thread.

Well when I got the email about the November Inside track club coupons they had one for a 11" tool bag. While at the store this morning. I looked at them nicely made, and with one long pocket outside and one inside. I figured that It would work for the 3 boxes of patch stickers, some small disk patches, safety glasses, an empty box for casings, hand cleaning wipes, eye glass cleaning wipes, scissors, marker and soother misc items.
    IMG_2047.jpg

Well I transferred everything over and there is still some room, I use one of the small cable clips to hold the wire tie around the duct tape roll on the outside. I also added a extra shoulder strap that I had collecting dust. since when I went to the range I always needed 3 arms to carry the stuff!

They are on sale this month item # 6183, # 35539, # 61168 for $5.99 regular or $4.99 with ITC. Or with the 25% off its $4.50, but I had something else that needed that coupon for this trip.

For moderate duty use I thing this will work out well. They also have larger bags, if you need more room.
