I have PSA 9 with the 16 inch Key mod upper. Runs everything I've put through it. Including aluminum case federal. Bayou reloads, you name it, including some random range pick ups. I bought the upper and lower on their weekly special. 598$ shipped. I do wish it would love open on a empty mag, but it's no big deal.

I8 may have cured the problem. I ran two full boxes of 7/8 Ounce loads Saturday. It ran perfect. I ran one box of 1 ounce loads they too perfect. These were all Remington dove loads. 7/8 ounce were high velocity 1390 fps. I disassembled the gun cleaned every nook and cranny. Including the recoil spring in the stock. Slightly dirty never been cleaned was bought as a cheap used gun. Left the action wet.... Hopefully it works fine during competition... it is the original slug barrel... And runs slugs fine also. I may be fortunate. My 1100 cycles light loads perfect very old and not a magnum. Thanks

I have a sluggun model with a smoothbore cantilever barrel. Its chambered up to 3 inch.. It will not cycle light loads consistently... It will work flawlessly during a casual day at the range and run till the barrel is smoking.. As soon as I use it in a match it has issues cycling a hangs hulls half ejected.. I bought a target barrel in 2 3/4 chamber length, it does not seem to fit correctly, the piston and piston seal fit the piston chamber to tight and the bolt does not close.. Does a 2 3/4 barrel or gun use a different size piston and seal than a 3 inch chambered gun? I hate to spend more if its just not going to work.. Can I order a different seal and piston? Slugs and buck work perfect.. I drilled one port it ran better, drilled the second about the same.. Barrel is not a issue its missing the cantilever top part.. Mounted a holographic red dot right to the base.. Recoil quickly killed that red dot.. Help...
