  1. Great shooting. I'm still looking for my first straight 25...
  2. Will do Jack. That will make my wife happier that I will ease into it. <-Can't go wrong there. Thanks for the help. I'm pumped to get started. One thing I do want to buy and that I can use in production is a glock 17. I may just run my xd 45 or even my old P85 Mk II. We'll see.
  3. Newbie here too. Should I use my belt I wear inside my belt loops or do you guys recommend using an additional belt for your gear and gun? I am stuck on whether I should buy a belt and mag holders (CR or something) or buy some cheap uncle mikes and use my regular pants belt.
  4. If she is getting the safety side of things and can practice with you on movement with the gun, gun manipulation and reloads I say go for it. If she isn't a good mover take her to a Steel match like UncleTK said. I've started my kids (5 and 2) out with the basics. Every time I take a gun out of the safe and they are around I go through safety with them. It has to be simple especially for the little guy, but he listens. Even when I tell him to keep his finger off the trigger, which seems to be a natural reaction for kids to reach for. I can't wait to get them out shooting.
  5. Bedford. Looking back I suppose i should have said south central.
  6. I'm a newb, but I say go for it. Have fun and shoot. Maybe you'll find one you like or do better with and stick with it.
  7. Hey all. I've been reading through these forums for the past couple weeks looking for info on USPSA shooting. I shot USPSA once before about 14 years ago. I loved it. I am competitive and love shooting anyway (skeet, trap, plinking, archery, rubberbands...) and hope to get into USPSA shooting starting in 2014. Anyway I'm here and will keep reading through the great info. Can't wait until March 2014 to get started.
