The hand press just looks like trouble, a cheap bench mount has to beat the pants off that.
They actually work very well for pistol cartridges. I used to take mine with me on vacation. I have sized hundreds of cases in the time I spent waiting on my wife to get ready.

I started about 10 days ago with the trainer model. The first day I barely closed it once. I did ten reps just now clicking it closed each time with (a little) authority.
I'm wondering how much my grip has improved versus how much the springs have worn in.
I think I'll order the #1 after Christmas.

which one gen 3 or gen 4 and you're thoughts on the 26 for those who have one . thinking of getting one
I carry a Gen 3 26 in a kydex AIWB,. I would recommend the Gen 3, the smoother grip is more comfortable against your waist AIWB, especially if your holster doesn't have a big leather shield, If you carry in something like a M TAC, no difference. The 26 gen 3 and gen 4 use the same dual recoil spring setup. Don't have a gen 4 26, but will occassionally carry a gen 4 17, AIWB, the extra texture is tolerable against the skin, bearable but you know its there.
I have a Raven Concealment Phantom holster for mine and have the inside and outside waistband loops. I like the inside carry better but it is uncomfortable unless I have a shirt tucked in my pants. No problem in cool weather but I'm looking for another solution for the summer when I don't want to wear a jacket or two shirts.

Off a makeshift rest, I have fairly poor vision (old man eyes) which is why I figure it could do better.

I have the same pistol. I put a Dawson Precision adjustable rear sight and fiber optic front. I like them a lot.
Mine will shoot a 2" group at 50' with the factory barrel. I think it would probably do better than that with a better shooter.

Thanks, I will take a picture when I find my bushing wrench or get another one.

Does anybody know whether or not this would work or could be made to work? With or without modifying the gun but would rather not have to do that. I emailed the folks at Marvel and got a "maybe".

My favorite gun related thing to do is to get a new rifle and new to me cartridge. Tinker with the rifle and reloads to get it shooting as well as I can. After that I kind of get bored with it.
I recently started loading 9mm and it is pretty much a bearable chore for me. I can work for 30-60 minutes a day on my single stage press and meet my needs for ammo. If I could buy ball ammo for the same price I would do it.
I also cast bullets and I'm convinced that a lot of these guys don't even care about shooting. They just like to collect moulds and cast bullets. Nothing at all wrong with that but you hear them talk about having five gallon buckets full of bullets cast that they don't even own a gun for.
