  1. Really like my Manny holster, but hate the optional leg "pad". Other than having to use a toothbrush to clean of some plastic shaving I haven't had to adjust anything, and the picture shows how well it locks in there.

  2. Weird. In all markets other than the U.S. a ''limited' is actually called a 'limited custom' and is basically the same but has the extensively lightened slide like a gold custom/gold team has. I never have understood why the U.S. market witness branded guns miss out on the slide lightening.

As to this particular gun I'm guessing just teigger job and some grips?

Not all of us in the U.S. miss out on the "Limited Custom" name, and lightened slide. :)

  3. I am meeting with the owner of COM Holsters tomorrow. I am going to have about 10 of them made to fit the Stock III. They will work with the BOSS as well as the TekLok. I wanted one for myself and figured I'd have some more made since there are at least 21 new Stock III's on the market with no holsters.

Wait...Dan?? You going back to a Tanfo after that beauty you just had built??

  4. You have too many nice guns for someone so young.

Yeah, and what is sad is that he seems to sell some without shooting them first. Josh, you should really just give me the .40 Tanfo since your 9 is on the way.

Moto and 2morechains are both great guys to squad with (not sure who Ultimo is), and all the experienced shooters guys who shoot will offer you tips during the matches.

  5. Buddy here just picked up a used Elite Limited in 40 (EAA 600320) and he's looking to trade the complete upper and mags for a 9mm upper with 4 mags w/extensions. Figured I'd see if anybody on here was interested.

Captured green FO front sight, LPA adj rear, 4 complete mags with extensions, spare mag body, spare follower, 3x springs, 2x spare mag extensions, and a standard mag base. The mags are the triangle T mags.

  6. I'm hoping one of the more experienced ones here can chime in with the "For Certain", but the things I've found on the Google search (and quite a few forums) said it was a Bomar cut.

I decided to have one made in a different style I liked the more. Think it will help with the "flat on the table" starts as an added bonus.

  7. Precisely; I wouldn't be modifying the pistol at all. It's just that a good amount of material seems to need to be removed from the racker in order to make the racker fit into the normal Tanfo dovetail. The discrepancy seems far more than I expected when I saw people saying here you could use 2011 rackers; on the sample I tried, it was not something that could have been resolved with just a few quick passes of a file.

I agree. Local gun shop (who I had knock the stock rear sight out) said the same thing. I have a feeling I'd need something mechanical to take quite a good portion off. I thought it might need a slight adjustment, but then again, the racker was sold as needing "gunsmith fitting" so I wasn't expecting it to just slide in.

  8. I picked up an EGW Sidewinder for my Limited Custom and it is the same thing. Although, I'd take material off the racker and not the dovetail. I opted instead to have a local machinist make me a racker once I realized the Sidewinder (not the XL) doesn't look like it will clear the Cheely 90° mount anyway.
