Atlas for sure, American company. Just a better quality mag and they stand behind their product. The feed lips stay put and every one I have hasn't needed any adjustments so far.

Mbx are junk. They split and the arrogant European scumbag that owns the company will tell you to piss off.

STI's have been hit or miss, usually a miss.

All 3 need grams guts with the tab cut off.

You and I have had very different experiences with MBX it appears.

I've been using MBX mags for open since 2016 and won't be changing that. I use MBX guts in all of them, as well. I've had 1 mag have issues and I think it was from being stepped on/crushed. That mag was repaired and its been good ever since.

Both MBX and Atlas are stand up companies. MBX has more capacity available out of the box, but is at a higher price point. Atlas is more affordable, but you may want to change the guts out to get 1 or 2 more rounds.

All that being said, MBX are the gold standard in my eyes.

  2. The biggest factor to consider is "future proofing". The Apex-10 has more sensors available than the 1050 and is directly supported by Mark 7/Lyman. If you want to change or upgrade down the road it will be easier on the Apex-10 vs the 1050. 1050's are good machines and you would get a ton of use out of automating it, but the Apex-10 does have things going for it that would benefit you long term.

AA7 is known to be a VERY dirty load due to burned/unburned gun powder getting everywhere. Ive seen charge weight as low as 9.0 for a 124 and as high as 11 for a 115 using AA7.

IMO its not a great powder for 9 major. But I also think WAC is perfect for 9 major. Many people call me crazy.

I think AA7 is the best thing since sliced bread for 9 major, and I also think WAC is stupid. You and I have discussed it before, lol.

SW Major Pistol was a slightly different version of AA7, but loaded and shot essentially the same. I use AA7 exclusively for 9 major these days, since you can't get SW MP. usually around 9.6-9.8 grains for me in my KKM 5.0" OAL barrels with 2 medium holes.

Good to know. I have to admit I was going off of what DAA says on their website.

As far as Dominate Defense is concerned I initially considered a brute force method like that but I chickened out when It looked like I'd be abusing the belt more than I was comfortable with.

It might work if I was as gung ho as you!

The newer Versa pouches (V2 designation) have been revised to resolve those issues. Fitting on DAA or Dominate belts should be much easier with the current bracket version. We only have the V2 in stock at Shooters Connection nowadays. Let us know if we can help!

The C-Bax are very dependent upon belt thickness.

If the belt is too thin they can be sloppy although the set screw has firmed them up for me.

If too thick they are not usable at all.

For example there is no way they will slide onto a Dominate Defense belt. DAA belt.won't work either.

They can fit on DAA belts, just have to use more force than normal. My usual method is to put the bracket in a vice and feed the belt through. Once its through a little you can grab it with pliers and pull it more, then finally pull it to its resting position. Don't even need the set screw if you do it that way, TBH. I have 2X DAA belts set up that way.

Been waiting for a KKM 5" bull threaded hybrid to come back in stock. Are you expecting those as well? Need one in C/P.

I don't know if the Hybrid barrels or the Bull barrels will be coming in first, but we are expecting a restock of both in the coming 4-6 weeks. Hit that "notify" button and the system will inform you as soon as they get put in inventory.

I have an Akai middy open 9 major gun that i want to re-barrel and try to out the binary engineering  CFD comp.  Can not find anyone selling a 5" 11/16-40 threaded bull barrel.  Can't find anyone who carries KKM that has them in stock.  The Akai has an Infinity barrel but their website doesn't even show a threaded 5" bull.  Anyone got a source?

We have W/N ramp in stock, but are waiting for C/P ramps to arrive. If you log in and hit "notify when available" you'll get an automatic email when we get them back in stock. We are expecting them in the next month here at Shooters Connection.

And there's someone who just might know something 😊

Ha! We have some three ports coming in very soon, I know that. Hoping to have them more consistently this year, but anything can happen.

I'm thinking this will be my next press.

One question though. Wouldn't all three independent functions have to always be at the same speed?

The main benefits for running each step independently are

Toolhead-less time between strokes as the toolhead only has to go up so far, shortening the stroke

Shell plate-time savings from indexing the shell plate ASAP with pistol, or to lessen powder spillage and bullet topple when you wait to index until after the tool head has ceased moving upward.

Priming system-to have primers feed as quickly as necessary with a smoother servo controlled rotation, not moving at Mach 5 to keep up

The benefits are more than whats obvious and should lend itself to a smother and more efficient loading process for the end user.

Eric, I can’t tell you anything about the Dillon loaders, but I can tell you why not buy the Mark 7 revolution.  I’ve been running one for almost a year, and would never buy another one again.  If you want the details, reach out and I’ll fill you in.  Ultimatetoday@gmail.com

I'd like to know if there is anything we can do to help with those feelings, sir. Feel free to shoot me a PM or an email at jvlieger@markvii-loading.com or call in the main line and ask for John.

We have customers in the field with millions of rounds loaded on Revolutions and I own one myself.

The Genesys drive train is composed of three independent motors, and minimal accessory parts besides, making for a very compact, simple, and robust drive system. This simple system means no user servicing is required for the life of the unit, but in the unlikely event of pre-mature wear the system is easily serviceable. In short, we've made the drive system as robust as possible to minimize service requirements, and enhance function.

It's user serviceable if needed, but doesn't have regular service requirements due to the nature of the system.
