I have a rotary tumbler with the SS pins and its great! I used to let the brass just dry for a couple of days, then I saw on the STM site the food dehydrator that they were selling! Didn't want to pay for shipping so looked around town and found one for $35 figured I wouldn't be out much so I gave it a try, just awesome!!!! Brass is dry and ready to load in 45min plus about 10min to cool down!
The dehydrator can do about 150 pcs of 9mm per tray mine came with 4.
Any ill effects from leaving the brass to dry for a couple days? I'd prefer to tumble a ton of brass, leave it alone, then load it up later when I have time.

Thanks, I'll be interested to see how the CZ did; it's a little closer in barrel length to what I have.

DC ammo is great. I ordered some from Doug and will try to never buy ammo in the store again. His ammo is priced very competitively and is perfectly set up for competition. He is a stand up guy from my experience with him.

I happened to see this just after Jeffrey posted. The site started crashing/not loading right after I got my order through. I'd like to see what their visitor volume is after one of those posts.
-
Unfortunately, I have already shared everything I was able to find out. I'd encourage you to call them as well though. Might speak with someone who would know more specifics on the order.

Century has an order for 1000 mags on the way. I'd recommend waiting til they get there, they have our new follower design for enhanced reliability.
Call Century and tell them you want mags!

Spoke with Century the other day, and they weren't sure exactly when the mags would get it. Sounded like it might be a couple months. Also, when asked about competition models like X-Calibur, I was essentially told that my guess was as good as theirs on importing/distributing them. Dang.

Hi all,
I just stumbled onto this Accurate data sheet yesterday. It includes published loading data for Solo 1000 in 9mm with jacketed, lead and plated bullets. It showed up on page 2 of my google results. The URL makes me think it was published in 2011. Searching this forum I don't find where this link has been posted previously. My apologies if this is old news.
Search for: accurate_load_data_3.5.pdf
So far, this data seems to jive with what I saw running some 147gr. cast & 3 - 3.2gr of Solo1k over my chrono this past weekend.
I don't have privs to post links yet, so you have to google it on your own.
What were your results and your COAL? I loaded up a lot of 3.2gr around 1.145, but don't have a chrono.

If you need to shoot on Friday, please let me know beforehand. We can accommodate some Friday shooters, but just need to limit to only those that cannot make the weekend schedule work for them.
What time would people need to shoot on Friday?

Alright. It seems that FNH played by all the rules that were in place and has gotten the pistol properly listed prior to it being used in competition.
It seems, after getting some answers, that there was nothing improperly done by USPSA.
Are you allowed to share those answers, or have I missed it somewhere else?

Not sure. I still have some of the new factory ammo, but I won't be able to shoot for another week or two. I'm going to keep better track of what results I get with TZZ--new and reloaded--and some other Winchester and Federal cases I have.
-
The picture if after firing a factory-loaded round.
-
Absolutely nothing about that round felt "off" when I fired it.

I've shot a bit of TZZ match hardball ammo and reloaded a number of the cases. I noticed a split or two from the several hundred rounds I fired that were factory-loaded. After shooting about 50 reloads of this brass (3.6 & 3.8 of Clays with a 230 LRN), I had probably 15-20 cases with a gash down the side of the case.
I had been told by a former bullseye shooter that this brass would be great for reloading. Anyone have similar experience?

May we see the blaster that got you there? Do you focus solely on open for Bianchi-style competitions?
-
Congrats. What's the next goal?

How does muzzle flip in these guns compare with CZ Shadow and Tanfo Stock 2 ?
Cpa5oh makes some good points. I honestly can't notice much of a difference with any minor power factor gun, but being able to have 4 different inserts gives one a good chance at finding a nice-feeling grip. I've picked one that fits my hand nicely, so, naturally, it feels good when I shoot with it. Haven't shot a Stock 2, but recoil felt about the same as with a Shadow.

I've noticed that if the pistol is held vertical, slowly lowering the slide will hang it up slightly outside of battery. The corner where the barrel chamber goes from flat to round will hang up on the inside edge of breech face and the slide. Does this happen at all on yours? A slight touch on the barrel chamber's side lets it rotate that last bit.
Might not be the case length giving trouble.

I've not had a single feed failure with Federal factory ammo or reloaded lead ammo at around 1.15 down to 1.135.
-
One trick pony here: I just use FP-10 on all of mine. It has worked fine so far.
-
Interested to hear how it works. I e-mailed Century yesterday about mags and parts; I'll let you know what I hear.
-
I'm not Robby, but I pull it down just far enough that I can push it to the side. Then, the trigger guard can rest on the frame as you take the slide off.

Where can one get recoil springs for these?

Thanks; this is very helpful. A buddy is getting a chrono, so now I have some good starting points.
