  1. I like an add on ratchet on outer belt with regular inner belt.  Instead of using the inner belt like normal use it like it doesn't work and it slides. When you tighten the outer belt it tightens the inner belt and does not bunch up.

I’m admittedly not a gunsmith but I found some things on my prodigy that are not so easily fixed as they were in this thread. Probably has a lot to do with cerakote thickness etc but still.

     EGW ignition kit

Sear would not fit in my frame at all without a lot of sanding in a very confined space and polished the sides of the sear.

17# mainspring barely made a dent in proven ammo with stock FP. I bought a Cheely extended FP to put in but I still thought stock should have worked.

Disconnector took a ton of polishing to fit in the frame.

Hammer strut pin hole is so big that pin just slides through and falls out. Now to order a pin kit and hope it fits through the strut.

EGW GUIDE ROD ASSY is practically a press fit in the slide. Takes light taps with a hammer to install and remove.

As far as EGW keeping items in stock, forget about it. Been waiting several weeks for an MSH. Thinking about getting stainless and painting it black

The factory firing pin spring is extra extra extra strong.    Use a wolf extra firing pin spring or one from a wolf recoil spring pack.

I found out Egw makes two style of sear springs.   I put a Brazos trigger in my Prodigy and later ordered the same kit for the 2011 I'm building  only to get a different style sear spring

  3. Give them a call or email they just had some made when I got one.   They were great to deal with . They called it a 45 degree racker.  I havet had the chance to put it on mine yet to try it out.

I think a steel gripped gun is going to make the pistol too heavy for IDPA.  I had a guy shooting an MPA on my squad yesterday and it never missed a beat.  I think those go for $3500ish.  Atlas is very close to double that.  They are very nice guns, but not nice enough to double the cost.

You are correct Steel grip would be too heavy for IDPA.   My 4.25 Prodigy was 39ounce with magazine stock grip.   It was too heavy with steel Cheely grip

  5. I had similar results with Brazos trigger.  I checked that both legs of the sear are contacting and installed it along with their disconnector.   I haven't touched it. Mine is 2.2lbs with a 19lb hammer spring .  I liked his trigger set up so much I got another one with one of Brazos frames and slides.  Great people to deal with.

@RJH that’s cool.  I love my 4.25.  Thinking about doing a 5” next.  My 4.25 is so well balanced with the Cheely grip that I can stand it on its magwell for an unloaded table start.  An RO wigged out over that and went grab the MD.  He got ranked.  It was a good stage.  😂

I’ve got a maxed out Rival-S that I’m eager to try too.  Waiting on my Lok brass grips to arrive.

I put an aluminum Cheely main spring housing on my 4.25 Prodigy with steel Cheely grip.  It helped it balance a little bit.  I am building a 5" also
