Can the owner of your range call the owner of our range and maybe they can "do" lunch? Night sites are almost a must where we shoot.....

I like my aet barrel. Shot my reloads and factory Federal 165gr fmj's about the same. One hole at 15 yards.
Never had any feed malfunctions with the factory (shorter stuff) or the longer longer loaded reloads.
Besides, I love the bronze color....

I agree, the shock buff material is supposed to be nylon/rubber soft, not aluminum hard.

If you are using a limited gun and you go to slide lock or you have to use rely on the serrations to make a quick reload then you are already behind the 8 ball....
As far as pure looks are concerned, I really like the Dawson curved serrations.

My vote is for GREEN. The red seems too dark indoors. MY eyes pick up the green very well, indoors and outdoors.

As a first time experience, I wouldn't mind at all sitting around watching others flinging lead. Maybe visit a vendor area or two...talk smack with the best of the best. Pick up some tips perhaps. That would be interesting....Hopefully I'll get a chance at a slot at this years nationals.

Was interested in knowing what your favorite load is for the 40 caliber load is.
Trust me, I understand this is like opening pandora's box, but I was just wondering what works well for you and this will give me something to look at when I start to reload 40's. I already reload 45's but that doesn't help much with the smaller caliber.
I understand for an open gun the slower burning powders matched up with lighter bullets is the way to go. For limited the faster burning powders with heavier bullets are the ticket.
Now I'm just curious to see what works best for you.
By the way, I have an SVI combination open (6 port hubrid) and limited top 40.
Thanks for your input.

I have a CZ75 B-SA in 40 that I had Mike at CZ do a trigger job on. Is that approved on the production gun list?

Well, I ended up purchasing a slightly used SV combination open top and limited top gun that was without the AET technology barrel. I took the open top out to the range with me last night (9-30-04) to see how it would fire the Federal American Eagle 165gr FMJ. Well, 200 rounds later,,,,,,,I was punching the 10/X ring out of a 25 yard bullseye target, with NO malfunctions of any kind. I am very happy with this set up. Looking foreword now to shooting in some matches.
Thanks to all those that responded to my questions.
OH yeah, I almost forgot,,the 25 yard bullseye target was at 25 yards when I was punching out the X and 10 ring..... Sorry about the oversite on my part...

These were the responses I was hoping to hear.
I'll just wait until my SV comes in and take it to the range and see what happens.
I'll be shooting Federal 165gr FMJ. Hopefully it'll work.

Most Glock sites are of the U shape rear, and dot front. I can't imagine it would be a big deal to just replace the front site with an F/O considering it is the same shape etc... If you changed the front and rear I could understand that.
We'll have to ask the experts on this one...

I'm not new to USPSA shooting, however, I am new to the SV firearms. I know that most everyone uses reloads (as do I in 45acp), but I have several thousand 40 caliber rounds that I intend to shoot thru my SV firearm (when it comes in...).
The SV I have on order has the AET barrel set up which according to Schumann will not be prefer 1 round over the next due to some new technology.
My concern is more with reliability with factory ammunition and the SV with the AET barrel. Any stories from you folks that have had experience with this combination?
Once I am done with these factory loads, I will be loading up my own..

The enos curved down trigger insert I have with my SV has a flat section as witha short flat trigger and the curve is like the medium curved trigger....
Just for clarification...
