  1. I've looked through all the threads I could find and it looks like a lot of the members here have used JB Weld and silicon carbide grit with good results. I was looking for something a little more CCW (skin) friend and ended up finding Atlanta Grips Tacti-Grips (atlantagrips.com). I love them. They are coarse enough that my grip doesn't slip at all, which is a massive improvement, but they don't chew up my hands at all. I'm not sure but I think he uses some type of spray adhesive and walnut shell media blasting particles. Then paints over it with black spray paint. I was wondering if anyone else has tried walnut shell or anything other than silicon carbide as a gripping media. If so what have you used as a media? What have you used as a bonding agent? And what were your results? I ask because I'm doing my very first real custom gun, a Gen 4 G19, and I think it would be great if everyone who's done this kind of work could pool their ideas together for a reference source. Thanks to all who contribute!
  2. Any chance on a durability update? I'm currently trying to decide between the same DIY silicon carbide grip or stippling. Thanks for your help.
