  6. I was rereading the manual and it says the case is expanded in station 3, and belled with the powder measure. I am trying to load lead rounds in my 45 acp and I was trying to use the powder measure to expand the case more. When I should been using the die on station 3. Thanks for all the help, going to crank out some more ammo tonight and attach my bullet feeder. I love this thing.
  7. I will check that tonight (at work right now) When I got it I had to screw down the powder measure die because the measure wasn't feeding far enough to drop all the powder.
  8. I just bought a Dillon 1050 in 45 acp. Tonight I was trying to reload some lead bullets and I was having problems seating the bullets. I noticed there was not alot of bell on the cases so I tried to tighten down on the powder measure. I kept adjusting it further down untill I had it screwed all the way down and touching the shell plate. I still was not getting any bell on the cases. Am I don't something wrong?
  9. Just found some .308 carbide dillon dies on there website, now I have a complete tool head for my 1050.

  12. Ordered Dillon 1050 in .45 acp on apirl 19th. Showed up at my door today. But it was showing instock
  13. Right now I have the bullet feeding die, I am using it. Going to get some tubing and manually feed it. I am having trouble using it with lead bullets though.
  14. I thought AP stands for auto Progressive? I don't have the ammo plant..... yet, plan on getting a case feeder soon. I bolted my bench to the wall to make it nice and secure. I read any movement in the press can effect the case feeder.
  15. I read it helps feeding primers, it comes with a plastic one but the brass ones has some weight to it.
  16. I bought a hornady Lnl AP press last week and finally got it set up yesterday. I had some initial troubles, (which were all caused by me). I learned if you have to force it you are doing something wrong. The shell plate index got out of alignment, but tinkering with the paws got it back in working order. I followed the advice on the forum and got a lock washer for the shell plate, and brass rod for the primer tube. So after I got it back in alignment I took so more advice form the forums and used it as turrent press doing one station at a time to get a good feel for it. After I got a good feel for it I was able to start up a steady rhythm. I would pull down the handle then pull it up, seat the primer then slide in a new case, then place a bullet. It worked like a dream, before I knew it I had 500 rounds sitting next to the table. I guess I am going to have to start shooting more.
  17. I just ordered a Hornady press, and I was wondering if anyone has a diagram of how far apart the holes are for mounting it? I know someone in a machine shop and I am wanting to build a strong mount for it.
