For Steel Challenge we are using the 8 for both the pistol and rifle.

[Which CZ to get]

I recently ordered my daughter the Shadow Custom and had them add the short reset trigger. She will use it in USPSA limited and Steel Challenge. Didn't really see the need for the adjustable sights for her intended use.

[When do you start your children shooting?]

My 11yr old daughter started shooting Steel Challenge and Rimfire Madness matches last year(.22 rifle and pistol). She had only been shooting a little bit before that. She is now hooked and wanting to move up to 9mm. Next year she will be shooting a CZ in Steel Challenge and we will both be starting to shoot USPSA.

I have been around kids her age that are very mature and safe and others that I don't want anywhere near a gun. I think the answer always will depend on the kid.

New member here from East Central IL....on the Indiana border. My daughter (11yrs old) and I shot Steel Challenge and Rimfire Madness matches all summer. We are now gearing up to also shoot USPSA and begin reloading. This seemed like to place to be so here I am.
