The striker safety block prevents conventional trigger jobs from working in the kit. The easy solution is to remove the part of the striker that hits the striker safety block. We did not see an easy way to remove the block and did not wish to destroy the conversion kit lent to us by our customer.

Interesting. I'll take a look at my pistol tonight to see what part you are talking about. Would there be any ill effects of removing that material from the striker?

I wanted to know the same thing as it doesn't make sense that it doesn't work with a trigger kit. But my kit will not do anything when you pull the trigger. don't know if its not setting or not releasing the striker.

I ordered my kit about 1.5months ago and FYI, they have definitely updated their site to say "No aftermarket triggers". I would not have ordered had that been on there when I did.

FYI, don't buy this if you have an aftermarket trigger. I bought this form my xdm 5.25 9mm with the PRP trigger kit. Got this and it doesn't work. Contacted Advantage arms and their response was pretty much "Sorry, only works if your gun is stock". Would have been nice if they posted that on their website.

I remember seeing some pictures of modifying the versamax shell release to make pushing shells past it easier. I just got my versamax today and it is really difficult pushing shells past the release so im guessing mine needs to be modified. If any one has pictures or instructions I would appreciate it.

i shot a shotgun match once with a cylinder choke barrel. The next day i called a gunsmith to have my barrel threaded for chokes. You can imagine how well the match went.

i load cast lee slugs using the lee loader. Not a great loader but it does the job.

go out and shoot. See what other people are running. Most people are great and will let you try out there stuff. That's how you'll figure out what you want to do and what you'll need.

[Anybody using a Bladetech OWB holster for a 4.5 or 5.25 9mm/40?]

Trying to decide between this and the comp tac international for my 4.5 for idpa. Like them both but have never held either.

ive got a comp tac for my xdm 5.25. I like it better than the blade tech holsters ive got for other guns.

4.3gr hp38 over a 124gr lead lee bullet has worked well for me. Also 3.8gr of titegroup over same bullet was very accurate but smoked like crazy so i stopped using that powder. I want to try WST based on advice from some people about less felt recoil with that powder and suppose to burn cooler so works well with lead bullets.

I dont think a governing body is really necessary. With things like the 3gn pro series it becomes necessary but at an individual match level i dont think its required. Standardized rules would be nice though.

you can have offset irons in tactical. as long as you're not running more than one optic you dont get bumped to open.
