Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. That sounds like a fine idea. I'm sure Logan will really appreciate it. No more from me either.
  2. If a pistol is being "passed forward" then I would suggest that it gets passed to the winner of the only class that did not win a pistol. The winner of WWII. Just my 2 cents.
  3. I'm in agreement that if there's a problem/issue at a match, then address it there. When I tried to do that with Sheldon on Sunday concerning some issues that I had with the prize table not being fair to the WWII shooters, I was told by him, "Just go get something off of the table and please leave". Needless to say, I will not return.
  4. As a WWII class shooter, I shot to have a good time, and that goal was accomplished. I really didn't have any issues with the ROs on any stages, in fact, I found them to be friendly and helpful. I was not aware of any of the stage issues that others described, so I will not address them. I thought the match sponsors were more than generous, and the prize tables were full of great items. My issue lies with how the prize table for WWII class was lumped in with Heavy Tac. The match information on the website stated that a STI pistol would be awarded to each winner of each class. That was not the case for WWII. There was only one pistol on the HT table, and that went to the winner of HT. I would have rather seen a separate table for WWII with only 3 items on it. One match pistol and any other two items for the 2nd and 3rd place shooters. I paid just as much money as everyone else did to shoot the match, and even though I did not win my class, the winner should have been treated the same as any other class winner.
  5. I hope the campground where we're staying has a computer and a printer. If not, then I guess I'll just have to wait for the stage description at the walk through for each stage!
  6. 5.5 Participants will not reconfigure any firearm during the course of the entire event. (i.e. change caliber, barrel length, shotgun magazine tube length, sighting systems or stock style.) This will be considered Unsportsmanlike Conduct. Does this include changing choke tubes during the match?
  7. My current set up will allow me to carry five 1911 mags, five M1 clips, and 12 rounds of shotgun shells. If that's not enough, I guess I'll just fill my pockets!
  8. How many rounds of rifle, pistol, and shotgun do you plan on having on you if you're shooting WWII class?
  9. I shot a local 3gun match today using my WWII set up. I think I finally have everything running reliably! Shooting my Garand out to 500 yards is a blast!
  10. Here's a question for those who've shot this match before. Is the prize table broken down by division and by time? Or are all divisions lumped together and then just broken down by time?
