I bought one to use in 3 gun and used it in one match. Had a hard time with the ghost sights and the RO suggested I sell it and get a 21 or 24" m2. I sold it the next week and have really enjoyed the 21" m2.

Ok now we may be getting somewhere. I just measured my spring and it is 10.5" . I had originally cut it to 12" could this be te issue?

Yes welded lifter was installed last fall . I will also check the extension and follower for that ridge. I did remove it before for cleaning but I clean it after every match, then I practice and clean it before the next match. Thanks for the help.

I've tried some 1200fps reloads, didn't like them at all. I tried some 1365 fps reloads and factory Remington , and Winchester sporting clay loads as well as slugs. The shell is not being lifted, it sits on the lift gate and twice I had to pull them out of the loading tube with my finger. Hmm, spring tension issue, clamp to tight?

I shot in a 3 gun match today and in every shotgun event my Benelli had a fail to feed issue. I was shooting AA bird shot. I have added a 6 shot extension tube, oversize bolt handle, and barrel/tube clamp. Gun was clean, disassembled bolt carrier greased and Oiled. What am I missing? What can I check? It had ran flawless for the first 2 matches and the only change was an extended choke. Thanks for any help.

I have a Benelli M2 with a Nordic Extention tube that allows 9+1 and most of the 3 gun matches I will shoot in allow only 8+1. What is the best way to restrict my magazine tube to only 8 shots?

Got it back, and shot in an IDPA match Saturday, my first, and a Steel Challenge on sunday. Really like the new Springer trigger and also the grip tape. I am very pleased. Thanks for all the input.

I sent it to him yesterday, told him 2.5lb, my sig 1911 is a shade over 3 lb so I think I will like it. I am shooting a steel challenge next weekend we shall see, I have high hopes it will be awesome. thanks for all the input.

I am about to send my XDm off to Springer for their trigger job and one of the questions on the order form is what lb trigger do I want. I called them and of course for legal reasons they won't make a recommendation. I shoot this gun strictly for competition, USPSA and 3gun, and my choice is between 2.5-4 lb. What lb do you recommend and why? Thanks in advance for you help.

Had a great time, it was my first 3gun match. I really appreciated the help Preston and the other experienced shooters gave me. Looking forward to doing this again, soreness should be gone in a day or two. Lol

This was my thinking as well, and I had bought this gun right so i looked on line and found a guy wanting one and will be selling it to him in the morning. I didn't make much on the deal but came out pretty good. I am going to Houston tomorrow , found a 24" barrel set up like I want and will purchase it. This should work out the best for me. Thanks for the input guys, there is a shoot this weekend at CCC Multigun in Millican, about 20 min. from my house, and if the Nordic tube extender comes in, I should be good to go. Can't wait!

I do also have a benelli nova with a straight stock, will they swap?

I just purchased an m2 tactical with 18.5" barrel and pistol grip stock. Is this going to work for shooting in 3 gun matches, at least for the present? I shot my first 3 gun shoot today, had a blast but the RO said I should get rid of the pistol grip and ghost ring sights in favor of a straight stock and a beaded sight. What would the advantages be and is it worth it to modify my new gun, or just sell it and start over? I did a search and found very little on the pistol grip stock, one way or the other.

I was shooting in my 4th USPSA shoot today at CCC pistol range in Millican Texas. It was their first USPSA event and I got a DQ on the first stage of the day. When showing clear the bullet ejected and landed on my the palm of my shooting hand between the gun and my hand, I should have let it drop on to the ground but didn't. The RO called for me to hammer down and when I squeezed the trigger with the bullet between my palm and the gun, the gun slipped out of my hand and onto the ground.. I knew immediately the consequences was a DQ. I was very embarrassed but stayed until the end of the event and taped targets and stood up steel. The guys at the match really made me feel better, I'm glad I stayed. I figured I would use the time to watch and learn, and I did. There were some great shooters at this meet. I came home, cooled off then went to another range and practiced for an hour and a half on nothing but shoot, drop the mag , show clear and holster. I feel better now but am still disappointed in my performance. I really enjoy this competition shooting and am determined to do better, I shot pretty well my first three matches, but have lots to learn, today was one of those learning experiences. I hope I never have to live through anoother DQ again.
